Aston Villa vs Wolves Predictions, Betting Tips and Preview
Aston Villa remain the winners of only one of their 12 games so far this season, throwing away a handful of points along the way. This should be a feisty local affair. Wolves are inconsistent, but they should bring their best here.Below are our match predictions, betting tips and preview.
Aston Villa vs Wolves
Venue: Villa Park
Kick-off: Saturday 15th October, 5.30pm
Aston Villa and Wolves is the most fierce of Black Country affairs, but I think it's fair to suggest no one likes Aston Villa. It's a big enough game to consider a rivalry and it should produce one hell of an atmosphere inside Villa Park.
Wolves have come up short in their last two games against high flying Norwich and equally strugglers Wigan Athletic. Their form has been very inconsistent, as demonstrated by a 2-0 win and a 2-0 loss at Newcastle in the space of four days.
Aston Villa's rather public owner has slinked back in to the shadows of the Villa Park boardroom after his very public displays to announce his arrival. He made his intentions clear in that Villa were going to be promoted, yet he must now realise the sizeable task ahead of him as they sit closer to the relegation zone.
Match Predictions and Betting Tips
Aston Villa can be backed at 21/10 with Marathon to get only their second win of the season, whilst the draw can be backed at best odds 5/2 through William Hill. If Wolves are to topple another one of the relegated sides, then they'll do so at 10/3 with Bet365.
It's hard to sit here and write anything positive about Aston Villa. I've said since day one of the season in my summer previews that I feel the worst is yet to come for Aston Villa. I'm not a fan of the way the good doctor has gone about putting himself in the lime light at Villa, and it's only gone and back fired really.
It was never going to be as simple as turning up, investing in a load of players and turning over a new leaf. It's a talented league full of ex Premier League sides, and many sides more stable than Villa. Wolves are inconsistent, but until Villa start winning games, you can't back them.
This one is more about Villa's deficiencies.Back Wol
Wolves have no shortage of attacking options and the return of NouhaDicko adds to their depth, as well as giving the fans a lift. Their trio of Portugese
new comers look to be a real threat, with the all of them looking like the type of players that can return you double figures at this level. Ivan Cavaleiro
spearheads the front three and looks very dynamic in doing so.Back Ivan Cavaleiroto score at odds of 1/1 with Betfred.
