Chelsea vs Norwich Predictions, Betting Tips and Preview
Chelsea’s 0-0 draw with Norwich was the first of what would be three consecutive 0-0 draws. Conte’s men aren’t firing and Norwich’s improving form gives them hope of a major FA Cup upset here.
Game: Chelsea vs Norwich
Venue: Stamford Bridge
Kick-off: Wednesday, 17th January, 7.45pm
Chelsea and Norwich will meet in-front of the television cameras for the second time in 10 days and the visitors may fancy their chances of pulling off a shock. Chelsea have been the subject of a few shocks in recent history and rarely keep a clean sheet in cup competition. Their overall form has seen them fail to win six of eight, and four of those have finished 0-0.
Norwich City are building momentum. The Canaries are getting it together a little bit at home and find themselves unbeaten in five overall. That run has seen them most recently beat high flying Bristol City whilst keeping a clean sheet in their last three away games. Chelsea will be forced to rotate here with their fixture build-up.
Chelsea are clear favourites at 2/9 with Ladbrokes and the draw is available at 11/2 with Betfred. Norwich can be backed at a whopping 16/1 with Betfair, but that gap was nowhere near to be seen in the first leg.
Whilst you would expect Chelsea to have enough quality to get it done at home, Norwich are building momentum whilst Chelsea are losing theirs. They’ve lacked a cutting edge amidst a busy fixture list. Their lack of firing frontman isn’t helping and the blues has given away eight goals in their last seven home fixtures against league opposition.

Although Chelsea have given away goals, they’ve not struggled to hit back. They have the perfect opportunity to alleviate their recent struggles in-front of goal here and may even benefit from resting the misfiring Alvaro Morata. Whilst Chelsea should come from this tie, we think City will have their moment.
Back our Score Prediction: Chelsea to win 2-1 at 9/1 with Bet365
This is Chelsea’s fifth game in the last 15 days and heavy rotation is inevitable with two more games in the coming week and their second leg tie away to Arsenal. Michy Batshuayi featured in the first leg and has scored seven goals in 14 cup appearances for Chelsea.
Back our Scorer Prediction: Michy Batshuayi at 11/13 with Bet365
