Everton vs Crystal Palace Predictions, Betting Tips and Preview
Crystal Palace both find themselves sat on 13 points in the Premier League table and continue to display good form. Crystal Palace will feel good about their weekend come back, although Everton were beaten at Bournemouth. Below are our predictions, betting tips and preview.
Game: Everton vs Crystal Palace
Venue: Goodison Park
Kick-off: Friday 30th September, 8pm
Crystal Palace have reeled off three wins in a row. Their dramatic comeback win against Sunderland on the weekend epitomised their new found fire power, which had helped lead the Eagles to two wins and six goals in their previous two games. Star striker Christian Benteke found the net twice against the Clack Cats.
Everton will be looking to put the past week behind them after a 2-0 loss to Norwich in the cup and their weekend loss at Bournemouth. It was a rough four days for the Toffees who failed to score. They’re still in good form overall having won four of five in the Premier League, so their form need not spiral out of control.
The home side has won just one of the last 10 meetings when these two sides meet. Both games ended in a draw last season, 1-1 and more recently 0-0, but Everton will be looking to get back amongst the goals here and Palace won’t sit back.
Match Predictions and Betting Tips
Everton are 8/11 favourites with William Hill to win this game, but remember the home sides poor record in this fixture. The draw is best odds 3/1 with Bet Victor whilst Crystal Palace are 21/5 at the same bookmaker.
Although Crystal Palace are in good form and continue to improve as a Premier League team, they still have some work to do. Everton away is a very tough game so this will be a good marker for them. Despite losing two in a row in all competitions, the hosts have won four of five in the league and have been particular hard to break down at home.
That makes for an interesting affair as the away team seems to struggle in this fixture. It’s been three draws in a row since we last found a winner, when Everton won 1-0 at Selhurst Park. Despite the string of tight games these two have played out, I expect an open affair with plenty of goalmouth action here.
Crystal Palace came here two seasons ago and won 3-2 in one of their best attacking performances in the Premier League. They’re in good scoring form at the moment and despite back to back shutouts, Everton will want to address that.Back Both Teams to Score at odds of 3/4 with Bet365.
The correct score prediction I am going to go for in this game is 2-2. Lukaku burst in to form recently and won’t stay quiet for long. Everton, as the home team, will push forward and attack. Palace now have nothing to fear and they don’t need to rely on clean sheets just to take something from a game. Benteke will continue to be a threat. You can bet on 2-2 at odds of 16/1 with William Hill.
A man in form is definitely Christian Benteke. The former Liverpool man will receive a hostile reception here I’m sure, and that may spur him on. Back Benteke to score again at 9/4 with Betway.
