Monday - Day 1

Today's racing tips are:

A good week ahead with some nice flat action to get stuck into and the terrific All Weather Finals Day on Friday.

Tips for Monday 10th April, 2017

3.00 Windsor -
MPM Flooring Ltd Handicap

Capton is obviously interesting in here however it may be worth sticking to a proven performer at this level. For me that horse is Zorba The Greek, fit from the all weather and well treated on the pick of his Irish form. He has the assistance of Spencer in the saddle today which looks a likable booking given the horse likes to be delivered late. His Irish form would suggest this trip on good ground is perfect and that is what he gets today. A high draw over this trip at Windsor is workable and Vaughan is a good trainer to have on side. Capton may just prove very well treated however his maiden form is sending out mixed signals and I'd rather take him on today.
Zorba The Greek - (0.5pts E/W) 7-1 is available at Bet365. - Lost

4.20 Redcar - Racing UK Profits Returned To Racing Handicap

Pullman Brown
is extremely well treated on numerous bits of his Irish form, he has recently been acquired by Kirby who sent him to Southwell. He ran a good race there from a wide draw and clearly retains a fair amount of ability. This long mile at Redcar will be perfect for him as he gets further and hopefully he can get a good tow into this before being delivered late. He is now 2lb below his last winning mark and it is notable that he romped home that day by over 4l’s. That performance makes his mark of 75 look very lenient and hopefully he can prove it tomorrow.
If for whatever reason Pullman Brown doesn't turn up then I am also going to place a saver on Zealous who confirmed his well being last time out over 7f's at Doncaster. He was staying on the whole time and the form of that race has already been franked by a horse who finished near last. He is now back down to his last winning mark, Joe Fanning is a notable jockey booking and the yard are in good form at present. His last win came over this trip so in that regard I have no worries and from stall 7 he is well drawn to track whichever pace he wishes.
Pullman Brown – (0.5pts E/W) 10-1 is available at Bet365. - Lost
Zealous - (0.5pts E/W) 7-1 is available at Bet365. - Lost

5.25 Redcar - racinguk.com/daypass Fillies' Handicap

Cabal comes here as one of only a few horses race fit after a few spins on the AW. This trip looks well within range under a patient ride and he should get just that from stall 11. He's well weighted on the pick of his form, most notably he is now 4lb below his last winning mark. Good ground suits and although he may have to sit in and wait they usually go a fair pace up front at Redcar so it all may just set up perfectly for this 10 year old. There has been lots of promise in his last two runs and with a bit of luck he could have easily won so the fact he is now 1lb lower looks lenient.
Cabal - (0.5pts E/W) 16-1 is available at Betfair. - Non unner

Tuesday - Day 2

Today's racing tips are:

Zorba The Greek was backed heavily into the 4-1 favourite, he reared in the stalls and blew the start as a result. He was passing horses towards the finish but after that start he had no realistic chance. One for another day I would imagine if they can find the right race.

Pullman Brown shaped like the winner until the final 50 yards when he tired into 4th. Missing out on a place in typical April fashion by a nose. Zealous was backed into a strong favourite before drifting all the way out to 10-1 so I am guessing he wasn’t quite right which would certainly be backed up by his performance.

Tips for Tuesday 11th April, 2017

4.00 Lingfield - Betway Handicap

Salvatore Fury really caught my eye last time out. He was held up in rear and got hampered multiple times in the run so it was very creditable that he still managed to finish 6th. He likes this track and 6f’s seems to bring out the best in him. Stall 2 is definitely a bonus here and Jamie Spencer is a very notable jockey booking. He’s the type of horse who will appreciate Spencer’s in the saddle and if he can just get away better then he will be well placed to attack turning for home. He needs a good pace to aim at however that looks very likely with Oriental Relation and Bertie Blu Boy in the race.
Salvatore Fury – (1pt E/W) 9-1 is available at Bet365. - Placed +0.4

5.00 Lingfield - Betway Apprentice Handicap

Hong Kong Joe looks the value in here. He was behind Powered at Kempton where he came from way back to finish 4th however he has a 4lb pull today with that rival and that should see him get much closer. In addition he has been lucky with the draw in stall 1 and has good C and D form to his name, Hector Crouch is one of the better apprentices and he should really have very few excuses. Powered may just prove too good however we can get an each way price about Hong Kong Joe and for me that is key in a race of this nature.
Hong Kong Joe – (0.5pts E/W) 6-1 is available at Bet365. - Lost

Good Luck

Wednesday - Day 3

Today's Racing tips are:

I was really keen on Salvatore Fury today, he finished 2nd but was just given too much to do. Perhaps the horse’s best chance at picking up one of these AW races as no doubt the handicapper will nudge him up a few lbs for that run. Watching the race back I just feel as though Spencer got the timing wrong, fine margins in this game but it was clear he would have won under a better timed ride.

Hong Kong Joe was poor, he was backed late on as if connections expected a big run but they went a snails pace and he got caught on the rail with the leader falling back into his lap. Not an ideal run round at all but I guess that's the risk you take in these apprentice races.

Tips for Wednesday 12th April, 2017

2.20 Nottingham - totepoolliveinfo.com Visit For Racing Results Handicap

An early season 3 year old sprint handicap that is sure to prove a great watch. We are playing guess work somewhat however Blue Suede stands out at the weights today and we know he has trained on as he put in a superb display in behind Dubai One at Newcastle’s AW track. The form of that particularly race is very strong. Dubai One has franked the form massively by winning twice since off marks of 83 and 88. Errissimus Maximus has won two since of 74 and 76, Cajmere has won two since of 68 and 75, Boater has won once of 75 and Dandy Flame has won three times of 75, 78 and 78. The form as you can tell and as I have said is really strong, with that being said a mark of 78 for Blue Suede who finished a neck second that day looks extremely lenient. In addition he has gone well over this C and D before, Hanagan and Fahey are both flying and the winner came from stall 3 last year which is where Blue Suede is drawn today.
Blue Suede – (0.5pts E/W) 14-1 is available at Bet365. - Lost

4.20 Nottingham - At totepool Follow Us On Twitter Handicap

The last time Fantasy Gladiator raced over this C and D off a mark of 63 he bolted up by an eased down 3l’s. It has been a while between drinks for this old timer however he is back down to that same mark and returned to this C and D he should be well up to winning this. Factor in that Mick Appleby’s yard are flying and he has De Sousa in the saddle today for the first time and his chance gets even stronger. Stall 2 is perfect around here and with the likes of Fire Tree and Cosmic Ray in the field this is sure to be run a good pace. All the cards look to be in the right place and with luck on his side then he should be well up to winning this.
Fantasy Gladiator – (0.5pts E/W) 6-1 is available at Bet365. - Placed +0.25

4.50 Nottingham - Collect Totepool Winnings At Betfred Shops Handicap

Road To Dubai is really interesting in here. He’s been in my notebook for a while with the additional comments ‘will improve massively for a step up in trip’. He gets that today and for me he rates a really solid alternative to a few at the head of the market. There’s substance to his form too as Arctic Fire has since won a mile handicap at Kempton of 69, while going even further back his performances in behind Red Gunner and Doctor Bartelo scream out that he is well handicapped today running of 70. Red Gunner was unlucky not to win a handicap at Newcastle over 6f’s of 75, while Doctor Bartelo romped a handicap at Newcastle over 1m 2f’s of 76. Doctor Bartelo’s form also provides us with a good angle into this race as he finished third in behind Hertford Dancer over 9f’s at Wolverhampton. He gave the winner 5lb that day and hung badly down the straight however when Bartelo and Road To Dubai met last time out they raced of level weights and Road To Dubai was the eye catcher in the race. TomorrowHertford Dancer has to give Road To Dubai 2lb which in theory means Road To Dubai is 7lb better off for all of around 1 1/2l’s. With this step up in trip looking likely to suit we can suggest that significant improvement will be made by Road To Dubai tomorrow and it is also very notable that De Sousa is booked for the ride.
Road To Dubai – (1pt E/W) 8-1 is available at Bet365. - Lost

6.45 Kempton - 32Red Handicap

A really good handicap despite a small field and it contains a few horses that look to have big seasons ahead. Two head my list and they are Big Challenge and Villette, the former is a Godolphin horse who made his rivals look slow on debut. That race was over a mile and this new trip certainly promises to suit on both pedigree and with the way he shaped. The later made a very good impression on debut over a furlong further and he gets weight from the top 4 today. I am going to side with the former on the basis that there is more substance to his form and he will definitely improve for this step up in trip. Godolphin seem to put Gordon on their best young hopes and it is key that she keeps the ride here as she clearly got on with him well on debut. Villette’s form on other hand amounts to very little and although he could only beat what was put in front of him it does worry me that he may have been flattered. The 9lb he receives from Big Challenge will help but I do doubt it may not be enough. For that reason I am going to side with Godolphin’s Big Challenge, with more improvement to come for this step up in trip and with Gordon keeping the ride he looks to have a lot in his favour today.
Big Challenge – (1pt win) 2-1 is available at Bet365. - Lost

8.45 Kempton - 32Red On The App Store Handicap

I am going to keep Lucky Louie on side with the lucky last as he landed a huge gamble for us last time out and he will only improve for both this track and the extra furlong. The trouble in running and the horses he beat suggest a 2lb rise is very lenient. Yes he could have easily been drawn better however he likes to be held up so in all honesty I can’t see it making much of a difference. We know this longer trip suits and Kempton’s long straight is surely going to be beneficial for his strong finishing style. He broke his maiden last time out and I just get the impression he is improving with every run. We see it time and time again however when a horse wins for the first time they get a taste for it and follow up. That is the hope here and we know he has the ability to do it.
Lucky Louie – (0.5pts E/W) 7-1 is available at Skybet & PaddyPower.Good Luck - Lost

Thursday - Day 4

Today's Racing Tips are:

Blue Suede 14s into the 6-1 favourite and fades badly after hitting the front a furlong out. I must admit immediately after the race I couldn’t understand how or why he faded so badly. As I said in my write up all the form lines were there and the money that arrived for him was significant. I’ve watched race back numerous times and it is clear what happened. Hanagan asked him to quicken coming up to the furlong marker and the horse immediately switched his legs. He lost his action completely and it is very clear when watching it back. There’s very little you can do about this, a miscommunication between jockey and horse is what I will put it down as.

Fantasy Gladiator came with what looked like a winning run only to be cruelly denied a clear passage in the final furlong. He finished third but it was very clear he would have won.

Road To Dubai was quickening up nicely before being denied a clear run, he then found space quickened smartly into 4th with a furlong to go and the leaders in his sights before being once again denied a clear run on the inside rail. De Sousa rode both of the above and I guess we caught him on an off day.

We still have two to go later however after the three earlier it is somewhat a frustrating day already. Tomorrow’s racing is poor however one horse does catch my eye while I am also going to send over my AW final’s day tips as the prices are out and we might as well take the early value. We will have more tips over for Friday tomorrow night as well as we have good cards at Bath and Newcastle to get stuck into too.

Tips for Thursday 13th April, 2017

4.40 Chelmsford City - totepool Betting On All UK Racing Handicap

Fuel Injection is a game front runner who has landed the plum draw tonight in stall 1. Jack Garrity rides this horse seemingly every time and the pair get on well. The tactics are obvious, Chelmsford as a track suits front runners so Garrity will have this one out quickly in an attempt to make all. Fuel Injection has been in good form of late with a 6th, 4th and a 6th beaten around 2l’s in every race. He obviously needs some help from the handicapper however he is 1lb lower today and when you factor in his style of running is well suited to this track then he may go very close to holding on.
Fuel Injection – (0.5pts E/W) 16-1 is available at Bet365. - Lost

Friday - Day 5

Today's racing tips:

The tactics should have been fairly simple for Fuel Injection and the money arrived for him (16s into 8s) as I said in my write up he's a game front runner who had the plum draw at a track that suits front runners. As luck would have it or lack thereof today he decided to blow the start by a length or two which put him 6 back after 100 yards. Not ideal but yet again a feature of horse racing completely out of our control. He stuck on well to finish 6th however he's a one paced horse who needed the lead so the race was over from the off. Onto tomorrow with hopefully all our misfortune out of the way...

Tips for Friday 14th April, 2017

2.55 Newcastle - sunbets.co.uk Handicap

Deansgate looks to have an outstanding weights chance in here. He went close on his final start of last season over this C and D only to be denied by a fine margin late on. He perhaps was asked to go too early that day and if Joe Doyle can hold onto him for a bit longer tomorrow then he should go close. He is on a workable mark, has a clear liking for the track and his draw is a positive as they tend to come up this near side well.
Deansgate – (0.5pts E/W) 12-1 is available at Bet365.
  - Lost

4.25 Newcastle - Betway Insider Handicap

Gaelic Tiger has only raced once however he couldn’t have been more impressive, he got up late on in what has proved a very hot race. He has a big long stride and looks all over as if this step up in trip will bring about a good amount of improvement. In general his running style seems to be well suited to Newcastle and from what looks to be a lenient mark he should be up to winning this.
Gaelic Tiger – (1pt win) 11-4 is available at Bet365. - Lost

All Weather Finals Day – Early Tips

2.10 Lingfield - Betway All-Weather Marathon Championships Conditions Stakes

A really interesting renewal of the marathon contest and the draw has somewhat blown this race wide open. Godolphin’s two horses have both been drawn out wide while Prince Of Arran and Watersmeet have been dealt a tough deal in stall 13 and 14 respectively. Watersmeet is one of the potential pace setters in here which makes his job somewhat tougher while both Godolphin horses like to handy so again they have a fairly tough job on their hands. Other pace setter’s in here are Pinzolo who has drawn in stall 7 and John Reel who has landed the plum draw in stall 1. For me those horses will make the running and they will undoubtedly take each other on at some point throughout the race. It is going to set up for a closer as it does most years and two interest me at the prices. The first of which is Petite Jack who has been in terrific form on the AW and shapes as if this step up in trip will suit him down to the ground. He’s a strong traveler who possesses a strong turn of foot, he has been drawn in stall 6 which should he can just sit in behind the pace before unleashing a killer turn of foot turning for home. There isn’t a horse in here that possesses such a strong turn of foot and he could easily steal this with one strong burst.

My second selection is Cohesion who we won on last time out and my comments after the race were that he would improve for a step up in trip. Bridgwater hasn’t had this horse long but he has been a model of progression and the booking of Ryan Moore looks very significant today. Stall 8 is fine and again he’s a strong traveler who possesses a good turn of foot. For me given the draw the two Godolphin horses are worth taking on and at the prices these two offer some great value.
Petite Jack – (0.5pts E/W) 12-1 is available at Skybet. - Lost
Cohesion – (0.5pts E/W) 15-2 is available at Bet365. - Lost

2.40 Lingfield Park - 32Red All-Weather Fillies' And Mares' Championships Conditions Stakes

Muffri’ha brings rock solid form to the table here and although favoruite I struggle to see her being beat. She has stall 1 which is a huge bonus while the enlisting of cheek pieces should sharpen her up for this slight drop back in trip. She was running very well in top graded races out in Dubai and providing the travel back hasn’t took it out her then she should pick up this nice prize with ease. Ashadihan is an obvious danger however she hasn’t fared so well with the draw and also has a bit to find at the weights with the selection today.
Muffri’ha – (1pt win) 7-4 is available at Betfair. - Lost

3.10 Lingfield Park - Betway All-Weather Sprint Championships Conditions Stakes

These sprint races are always tricky to work out and the draw/a good start play a huge part in the end result. Two horses who have been dealt a good draw are Mythmaker and Kimberella. Mythmaker isn’t a horse I would usually say is good enough to win a sprint championship however he has stall 1 and that is a crucial point. He’s lightening quick and should have very little issue getting to the front from the off. A rail run timed perfectly by Conor Beasley could easily see this horse well outrun his lenient looking odds. A big field will mean the closers may run into trouble and that will certainly help Mythmaker’s chance.

My 2nd selection is Kimberella who has switched yards to Richard Fahey, on debut for this yard he won nicely over 5f’s and we already know he goes well over this extra furlong. He actually finished in behind Mythmaker in the Golden Rose however he didn’t get the clearest of run and he was perhaps asked to do too much early on. He still finished a good third and he has definitely improved a yard or two for the yard switch. He has stall 5 so should be able to sit in just behind the leaders and that in theory should mean he gets a clear (with luck) run down the straight.
Mythmaker – (0.5pts E/W) 12-1 is available at Skybet. - Lost
Kimberella – (0.5pts E/W) 5-1 is available at Ladbrokes. - Won +3.12

3.40 Lingfield Park - Sunbets All-Weather Mile Championships Conditions Stakes

I have had Ennaadd marked down for this race since we backed him the last time he ran. He was so impressive that day and he has been given stall 2 on Friday which only boosts his chance. He’s a potential group horse in the making and Varian believes he could be up to winning a group 1. Varian is a good judge and with that being said he will take all of the beating.

Sovereign Debt also looks nicely priced in here. He has finished 2 nd in this race for the last two years and knows his way around the mile trip here. He has changed yards to Ruth Carr’s and looked to be back in full health at Kempton last time out. He should really have won that day but for bad luck in running however it did confirm his well being. He too has been dealt a good draw in stall 6 and if the favourite fails to fire then you can almost set your clock by this game old warrior.
Ennaadd – (1pt win) 15-8 is available at Betfair. - Lost
Sovereign Debt – (0.5pts E/W) 7-1 is available generally. - Won +5

4.40 Lingfield - Betway Easter Classic All-Weather Middle Distance Championships Conditions Stakes

Convey won the Winter Derby despite a bad draw and it being his first run after a break. He shaped really well and won with something in hand I felt. He had to be switched widest of all and I must admit he won despite very little going his way. He’s the classiest horse in the race and in this small field from stall 4 he should have very few excuses.

It’s also worth having a saver on Battalion who looks favorably priced and nicely drawn in stall 1. He sometimes blows the start however when he doesn’t he’s a real solid yardstick and holds all but two in here on form. If he can break well then he should get the dream run on the inside rail tracking the pace.
Convey – (1pt win) 9-4 is available at Skybet. - Won +2.25
Battalion – (0.5pts E/W) 5-1 is available. - Lost

Saturday - Day 6

Today's racing tips are:

3 winners today and nice profit made. We should really be coming away with a few more, most notably Muffri'ha who blew the start and Deansgate who found all sorts of trouble in running before flying home for 4th.

Tips for Saturday 15th April, 2017

3.10 Kempton - Follow At Racing_UK On Twitter Handicap

Eljaddaaf is 3 from 3 over this C and D. He rounded off that treble with an incredible performance where he won without coming off the bridle. He clearly loves this track and purely from a weight’s/time analysis he holds leading claims today. Factor in that he is better drawn tomorrow in stall 7. From there Winston will be able to drop in and ride a race to suit, he needs a good pace to aim at but that should be assured from front runners Captain Dion, Pearl Spectre and Dutch Golden Age.

Eljaddaaf – (1pt E/W) 15-2 is available at Bet365. - Lost

5.10 Musselburgh - totepoolracing Follow Us On Twitter Handicap

Royal Brave has been in top form recently and is fit from the all weather. He likes it over this C and D and he has a favourable high draw. Pace setters Lydia’s Place, Havelock and One Boy are sure to make this a tough 5f’s and if there’s one horse in this race who will be suited by that is Royal Brave. With race fitness on his side alongside a good draw and a workable mark he should go close.

Royal Brave – (0.5pts E/W) 7-1 is available at Bet365. - +4.2

5.25 Kempton - Flat Is Back On RacingUK Queen's Prize Handicap

Endless Acres was somewhat of a banker for us last time out. He fairly romped home despite it being his first run of the season. His target is the Chester Cup and he will need to win this if he is to stand a chance at getting in. The time he set last time out puts him in with a huge chance tomorrow of such a low weight. He is very unexposed over trips this far and for me he will take all the beating. His last performance can be upgraded I feel too as he very keen and a slow pace would not have suited. He has stall 2 and should be able to just sit in behind the pace.

Endless Acres – (1pt win) 3-1 is available at Skybet. - Lost
