Match Preview and Betting Tips.

Gerry Butler from http://www.biggestfreebets.com/  gives his thoughts on PSG as they turn their attentions to the league  How will PSG react to the disappointment of their Champion’s League quarter-final exit at the Parc des Princes this saturday? Currently second in Ligue 1, level on points with Olympique Lyonnais but seven goals worse off, the Paris club must put the European exit in Barcelona behind them and concentrate on taking maximum points from the game against Lille. This may prove to be easier said than done and many top clubs have suffered an adverse reaction after a bitter European letdown. PSG would certainly have wished for somewhat easier opponents than a Lille side who are in excellent form at present.

For my money, the bookies have PSG at a ridiculously low price of around 1/3 for the win. Given the possibility of post-Barcelona trauma and the current well-being of Lille, I shall be looking elsewhere for decent betting opportunities. Paris St. Germain are in excellent shape to challenge for the Ligue 1 title this season. Only one away defeat and an away draw from the last seven league fixtures have pushed them to the top of the table. Level on points and with a game in hand. Main striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, is back in action after a season disrupted by injury and suspension. Despite only playing in 22 of the club’s 32 fixtures he has notched a very creditable 17 goals in those appearances. If the goals continue to flow for the Swedish striker, the Paris club have a great chance of winning the title this season. Will they be winning on Saturday? My money says no!

Possibly the most difficult fixture PSG could have in Ligue 1 upon their return from European action is a game against Lille who are on a great run of form. A solitary defeat sandwiched between six victories has moved the club up to 8th  in Ligue 1. With only five league games remaining and nine points behind the Champion’s League qualifying spot Lille will not give up on the slight hope they can yet make up the ground. Lacking the big-name players of PSG, Divock Origi (contracted back to Lille by his new club Liverpool until the end of the season) has been catching the eye this season. The 20 year old Belgian has seven goals to his name this season and it would not be a surprise to see his name on the score sheet at Parc des Princes this weekend.

Most bookmakers are offering 7/1 or more for a Lille win at PSG. But the draw at a tasty 4/1 or thereabouts is quite likely. It will do for me, and to add to that a draw at half-time and full-time is also tempting. As a side bet, Origi to score at anytime makes it interesting.
