Message from the Tipster : Hi and welcome to my 1 week free trial with Tipsters Review! My name's Gary Poole and my aim this week is to help you take as much money from those dastardly bookies as possible!

I've been providing tips through various platforms and proofing myself on forums since May 2012 and I started this service just over a year ago which has produced 270pts profit with 10 out of 13 profitable months.I will be providing tips each night before 8.00pmwhich will consist largely of singles, double and the occasional Trixie (and maybe even the odd forecast/tricast).

My tips can vary widely from 5/2 favs (though very rare) to 33/1 outsiders and all usually get strongly backed,if there is value out there I will find it!I give a full analysis of each horse/race and my reason(s) for why I consider the selection to be value (if you disagree you may choose not to back it) together with a staking plan that I believe to be the best way to gain as much value and to drain as much money as possible from the arch enemy!

Good luck with the free trial.

All the Best,

Gary.

If you have an account and it has been restricted, then you may wish to consider using either the betting exchanges such as Betfair and Betdaq, or even the Betfair Sportsbook which also offers “bog” prices.
Given that a number of selections do get backed in, we would suggest that if using the exchanges you take the prices on offer, rather than leaving them to the Betfair SP etc.

Analysis

4.55 Kempton:Sandy Cove

Can be forgiven his below par effort last time as I don't think he liked the undulations of Pontefract but he returns to Kempton tomorrow which is the track he won his last two races at in the winter. They were off marks of 58 & 64 and he is back down to that last winning mark tomorrow plus the bonus of a good 3yo claimer in the saddle who's ridden him well in a better race than this in the past. This is the same lower grade as those last two wins and although I'm very keen on his chances he might be vulnerable as there could be an unexposed 3yo or two in the race that could improve enough to beat him and although none of them look anything special the probable favourite "The New Pharaoh" ran very green last time and looks to have plenty more to offer but hopefully he will run green again tomorrow but just in case he doesn't I will go for the safer option of an e/w bet.

7.05 Windsor:Postbag

Looked an unlucky loser when last seen at Goodwood in May and can make amends tomorrow off just a 2lb higher mark. She picked up well that day after being hampered and having to be switched to the wide outside and although I'm certain she will get further in time there looks to be plenty of pace in tomorrow's lineup to make it a good test of stamina which will suit her running style down to the ground. This will be her first run in nearly 3 months but she clearly goes well when fresh as shown back in April and I'm expecting a big run.

Analysis

8.10 Leicester:Bonfire Heart

Has caught my eye on both her runs this year with the first of those at Doncaster where her jockey got unseated after getting badly hampered by a horse that fell in front of her.I thought she was making some good headway when that happened although it was impossible to tell how the race would have unfolded.I never backed her the next time as nasty incidents like that can knock a horse's confidence but she ran well again at Chester in a fair handicap but again things never went her way.She again got quite badly hampered but this time at the start of the race and once that happens at Chester it's very difficult to get involved with it being such a fast track but she did well to grab 4th and finished on the front foot.Although only a small field it was still a competitive little race and a much higher grade than she is faced with tomorrow and given the way she finished her race she looks well equipped to deal with tomorrow's extra furlong and with Steve Donohue back in the saddle who
won her last time everything looks in place for a big run.

7.40 Leicester:Grand Spirit

Has disappointed a few times this year but has nonetheless still been getting well backed so he must be highly regarded by connections and he backed that up with a promising run in the first time blinkers last time at Thirsk running over this shorter trip for the first time.He was drawn wide that day and ran a cracking race considering the race favoured those drawn on the opposite side of the track and after being slightly hampered towards the end he only went down by just over two lengths. He's been dropped 2lb for that encouraging run and James Doyle in the saddle who has a good strike-rate for this yard and although he's drawn wide again, with this being a biggish field I think they will split into two groups which should resolve that problem and if he can keep up with what might be a strong pace (and the blinkers do their job again) then he should run well.

Wednesday 19th August

I've got quite a few horses of interest running at York tomorrow but with there being plenty of rain in the area today and more forecast overnight I will wait until tomorrow's early inspection of the ground before deciding which horses to choose and if I fancy any I will have them out by 10.00am

In the meantime here's a couple of horses that I fancy running elsewhere.

Analysis

8.40 Kempton:Yes Daddy

Ran well over the sticks last time finishing 2nd and has been crying out for this longer trip on the flat in his races before that including when finishing 7th to "Notarised" at Goodwood (had "King Calypso" just behind who re-opposes today) in a much better quality race than tomorrow's being beaten by just 3 1/2 lengths again staying on well at the end. He's very lightly raced for a 7yo and looks well handicapped to run over the marathon trips and his only two starts on the all-weather have seen him finish 1st & 2nd (well backed and finished a clear 2nd to the decent "Lycidas" now rated 93) and I'll be surprised if he doesn't run a big race being stepped up in trip tomorrow.

3.20 Ffos Las:Ninepins

Has improved in the blinkers the last twice and although well beat last time I don't think she ran too badly considering she was slowly away and given the the way the race unfolded. That was a decent quality handicap which has produced a subsequent winner and 2nd re-opposing in the same race and the standard of both race is of a much better quality than tomorrow's.She was 7lb wrong that day and gets to race off her true mark tomorrow in this lower grade affair and if she can continue running as well in the blinkers then she should have a big say in this field.

Analysis

3.05 York:You're Fired/Chil The Kite

You're Fired ran a similar race to the favourite here at this course last time where they both were staying on well at the finish after having traffic problems and although the favourite might be less exposed I think You're Fired is improving just as well and is also a year younger. He's almost twice the price (was before he got backed) of the fav who was noted as breaking slowly last time and if he does that again from this low draw he could be in a lot of trouble in this big field so at the prices I think the selection is the value bet.
Chil The Kite has done most his winning over a straight mile and has never run at this track which is quite surprising but he ran well last time at Goodwood's turning track and is better than the result. He raced a little keenly during the race and then never got a clear passage towards the end when trying to challenge and his jockey was easy on him thereafter. There looks to be tonnes of pace on in this field and if he handles the track then he should go well off what looks a handy mark.

5.35 Chepstow:Mr Rock

Ex O'Brien horse having just his 3rd start for his new trainer and a horse that went into my notebook last time when running at Kempton. He started slowly that day and raced a bit keen but surprisingly had something left at the end staying on quite well and although he was well beat that day going down by 10 lengths the winner did it well winning by 6 lengths so if you take that horse out he wasn't' beaten far at all. He's a horse that runs better from the front and that style should suit him well at this track and I'm hoping he's been deliberately brought to this track for that reason by his very shrewd stable.

Analysis

3.05 York:Toofi

Ran a cracking race last time in the Stewards Cup and on another day he might have won.He was picking up better than any other horse at the end of a strongly run 6f and looks ready to tackle this 7f trip again which he's faced with tomorrow after showing it's well within his range twice last year. There's loads of horses in this race with a decent shout and none more so than the John Gosden trained probable favourite "Richard Pankhurst" who could be something pretty special after bolting up on his 2nd start last year, but it's his first race of the season and no matter how good Gosden is at getting horses ready it's always risky backing horses returning from a break as well as racing on a new track so with the good offer B365/Boyles are doing on the place terms I'd rather back Toofi e/w.

7.35 Salisbury:Scooner

Ran an eye catching race last time at Goodwood finishing 4th after not travelling at all well but the penny soon dropped in the race and after getting stuck behind a wall of horses he picked up in great style suggesting this longer trip will suit. That was a much better quality race than tomorrow's and if the more weight he'll have to carry isn't a burden over this longer trip (race has been won by plenty carrying similar weight in the past) and he's learned enough from that last race then he should go well.

1.55 York:Top Tug/Buonarroti

There's two I like here and Top Tug was a big eyecatcher last time having to delay his run at least twice before being eased close home and had that not happened then I think he'd have won. He's drawn a little wider than ideal tomorrow but he'll need to be held up in any case over this longer trip and if he gets the luck in running he should run a big race.

Buonarroti is a horse formerly trained by Aidan O'Brien and was rated as high as 105 last year. That was clearly to high as he hasn't done much since winning a decent maiden in Ireland which gave him that hefty figure but he bounced back to form having his 4th start for his new trainer last time at Doncaster in a good quality handicap finishing well from off the pace in a steadily run race and if he can run up to that standard again tomorrow then he could easily outrun his huge price.

Analysis

2.00 York:GM Hopkins

Got well beat at Goodwood last time but is a fair bit better than the final result as he was drawn in stall 18 and had to be held up in a race where it paid to race handily and just couldn't get involved despite doing his best at the end and looking to have plenty more to give.He doesn't have any of those issues tomorrow being drawn in stall 1 and tomorrow's longer trip should suit and any more rain that falls won't be a problem so everything looks in place for a big run despite this being a step up to pattern class.

1.50 Chester:Ballesteros/Gramercy

Richard Fahey is well represented in this race with 4 runners, all of which are quite well drawn with two of them very well handicapped and they're the two I want to back.
Ballesteros ran well at Thirsk last time always up with the strong pace and holding on for 2nd on ground quicker than ideal. He's very well handicapped on old form, has an ideal draw in stall 1 and with plenty of rain already fallen and plenty more forecast he should have his ideal conditions tomorrow.
Gramercy is a crazy price at 20/1 despite having won only 4 of his 49 races. He was unlucky not to finish closer at Ripon last time as he got hampered but only ended up getting beat by just over 3 lengths and if he gets a trouble free racetomorrow he must go well plus he also won't mind any rain.

3.25 Sandown:Newton's Law

Got no sort of run last time at Goodwood in the Stewards Cup consolation race when seemingly travelling better than any other horse in the race and repeatedly got hampered when trying to challenge.Tomorrow's race is a class lower and the drop back to 5f on easier ground should suit.

Sunday 23rd August

There will be no selections for Monday's poor cards so I will be back on Monday night for Tuesday's races.

It's been a frustrating week especially for the free trial members with a couple of winners/placers going in only to be let down by the more fancied horse(s) that were with them in the doubles/trebles and today was especially frustrating with the two horses I had in the same race finishing 1st/3rd and then the other two horses running no race at all and I was actually quietly confident about both those horses chances especially "GM Hopkins" that got heavily backed on course.I've just reviewed that race to see exactly what went wrong and something that I notice in the first furlong of the race certainly didn't help the horse which was that Franky Dettori decided to hurry the horse up in order to keep his early posi and rode him quite aggressively which lit the horse up and from then on he raced too keenly during the race and I think that put paid to his chances.
I might be being a bit pedantic there but I don't think that's the right way to ride a horse of GM Hopkins temperament as he's quite fractious and can get lit up easily.

But we made another small profit and with tomorrow being the final day of your free trials I've decided to dig deep and hopefully found a few nice horses that can mean you end the week on a high and hopefully some decent profit.

I've a few horses in my Tracker that are racing in Deauville (France) tomorrow and although it's not my usual hunting ground I think they've both got their ideal conditions and should both run big races.

3 selections for tomorrow

Single bets

4.50 Brighton:Vincenti 14/1 generally (1pt e/w) - Won + 15.75 points (10p R4)
3.10 Deauville

Given that a number of selections do get backed in, we would suggest that if using the exchanges you take the prices on offer, rather than leaving them to the Betfair SP etc.

Analysis

4.50 Brighton:Vincenti

I'm going to forgive this horse's last run which isn't hard considering how the race went plus I just don't think he likes Ascot as he hasn't run well there in 4 starts, in fact in those 4 races he's raced against 45 horses, finished last 3 times and only ever beat one other horse when finishing 16th of 17.He'd been racing well in much better races before that Ascot run and although he doesn't win many (2 from 34) he's finished 2nd 9 times and 3rd 5 times so he's pretty consistent. He takes a considerable drop in grade tomorrow and is well drawn in stall 3 and any more rain that falls won't be a problem. If he gets away well enough at the start then he should have a great chance in this pretty poor quality field.

3.10 Deauville:Ribbons/Madam Chiang

Ribbons is a horse in great form and very lightly raced for a 5yo.She's only had two races so far this year and has run really well in both on ground that would probably have been too quick. She returns to defend her crown of a race which she won last year and has her ideal ground again.
Madam Chiang is a horse I tipped last time but I remember the expected rain never arrived and as a result I don't think the ground was soft enough and didn't pick up as well as she might. That was a top quality Group 1 at Ascot against both sexes and she returns to action tomorrow racing against arguably lesser quality mares and if she can run up to that sort of form again on her more favoured soft ground then she will also be in the mix.

Summary : It was an up and down week for Bookies Enemy No.1 after getting off to a bad start but he did manage to turn it around and his horse racing tips produced a profit. His in depth write ups which back up each tip were always good to read and shown the hard work which gary puts into his service. Winners at 20/1 14/1 and 9/2 were the highlight of the trial & he was unlucky not to of landed one of his multiples which would of shot his profits through the roof.
