Monday - Day 1

No tips today.

Tuesday - Day 2

3:05 Hereford

GASSIN GOLF 4/1 generally - 1 POINT WIN - Lost
GASSIN GOLF is down in class here and now rated 123 by the handicapper, he is sure to go close. Richard Johnson takes the ride which is an interesting jockey booking as he was the last jockey to win on the horse. In fact it was the last time he rode the horse back in 2015. Richard Johnson also gets on very well with the horse and it wasn't a one off. He has rode GASSIN GOLF 7 times and his form figures on the horse read 2342231. The horse is coming into the race in decent form after finishing 3rd at Sandown last time out behind 2 very good horses in Call Me Lord and Our Merlin. The ground will be no problem and I expect a big run. WIN.

Wednesday - Day 3

1:20 Newbury

PERCY STREET 6/1 generally - 0.5 POINTS E/W - Lost
PERCY STREET must have a huge chance here on a handicap mark of 115 and my main man James Bowen taking off a further 5lb. I must sound like a broken record about James Bowen and his claim but I have been banging on about him for the last 6-9 months, long before the cat was out of the bag. PERCY STREET is massively down in class as-well with this being a Class 4. He has been running in much better races than this including the Fred Winter at the Cheltenham Festival. Looking through the field he really should be winning this. The ground is a slight concern but at the price of 6/1 it is worth taking a risk. Nicky Henderson clearly means business by using James Bowen to take off 5lb. It worked on Saturday with William Henry and I am confident it can work with PERCY STREEET. WIN.

2:25 Newbury
JAMESON 10/3 generally - 1 POINT WIN - Lost
JAMESON is decent value at 10/3 with only 4 runners. He is back in trip here but in these conditions it could suit. I imagine they will try to lead with him and use his stamina as he stays further. He has been in great form this season since making the switch to fences and has course form when 2nd to Oldgrandwood 6 weeks ago. JAMESON is a decent jumper and he won't make life easy for todays favourite. I have him in at the 9/4 mark so I am happy with the price. WIN.

Thursday - Day 4

2:00 Ludlow
AUBUSSON 5/1 generally - 1 POINT WIN - Lost
I am happy to follow trainer Nick Williams in with this one. His horses are in fine form. He showed that today with 3 winners and a 2nd from his 4 runners. When a trainer is in that kind of form you have to follow as simple as that. Even looking through the form of AUBUSSON and if the trainer wasn't in form you would have to fancy his chances on a handicap mark of 135. He was rated 145 last year so is extremely well in. Nick Williams has his son on board who claims a further 7lb so is basically running off 128. He is not a jockey I know an awful lot about but I watched a replay when he finished 3rd of 17 when on board Gamain last week at this course, and he had a decent style about him and the 7lb could be extremely useful. It is worth noting he rides that same horse for the same owners as AUBUSSON later in the day. WIN.

4:20 Ludlow
LIGNY 6/1 generally - 1 POINT WIN - Lost
I am not one who normally gets involved in these bumpers but I have had LIGNY in my tracker for sometime and he is having his first run of the season here. He was sent off favourite for a hot bumper last year and a lot of money was put down. He was very green that day and has not been seen since. I expect Nicky Henderson has being letting the horse come along slowly and this horse would've strengthed up considerably in that time. LIGNY is also down in class since he made his debut. At the end of the day Nicky Henderson clearly thinks he has a lot of ability to enter him in such a hot race last season and I expect him to be 10 times the horse he showed in that race. Will be interested to see market support but at 6/1 he is decent value as I have him in at the 7/2 mark. WIN.

Friday - Day 5

2:30 Lingfield

 KACHY 7/2 generally - 1 POINT WIN - Won +3.5

Front runner KACHY is drawn 9 of 9 which is not ideal but when I looked a bit deeper into the race most horses like to be held up. I don't think this will affect the horse getting the lead he needs and it will take a good horse to catch him. KACHY is rated 105 but the handicapper and does have to concede weight to the field. For me he is head and shoulders above these and the fact he is going to most probably get a soft lead bodes well for the horse. This is a Class 2 so he is down in trip as he has been running consistently well in a much better races. WIN.

2:45 Lingfield
CARSPINDLE 11/2 generally - 1 POINT WIN - Lost
Trainer Warren Greatrex is flying at the moment and had 2 winners today.9 of his last 12 runners have either won or finished in the first 3 so I expect CARSPINDLE to come into the race in good form. He is rated the best horse in the race by the handicapper but Thomas Greatrex claims 7lb so the horse carries 11st 5lb. CARSPINDLE rana decent race 6 weeks ago at Plumpton finishing 3rd of 8 and the form has been boosted since. 11/2 is a decent price as I have him in at the 4/1 mark. WIN.

Saturday - Day 6

1:50 Ascot
LA BAGUE AU ROI 11/10 Ladbrokes - 3 POINT WIN - Won +2.49
This horse should be 4/7, the evens available is an absolute steal. She has one danger in this race and that is Dusky Legend who I don't think will get 3 miles on heavy ground, in a million years. Bar a fall LA BAGUE AU ROI wins. She already beat Dusky Legend last season and our selection has improved considerably since then. She was stepped up in trip last time out and stayed every yard of the 3 miles. She beat a very good horse in Jer's Girl and something would surely have to go a miss for this one to get beat. WIN.

2:25 Ascot
LE BREUIL 7/1 generally - 0.5 POINTS E/W - Non Runner
I am a big fan of this horse and I have no doubt he is a better horse than his current mark of 139. LE BREUIL is Ben Pauling favourite horse and he has always held him in high regard. He has had 2 starts this season and although he has not won, he has run well both times. I have heard the trainer mention many times that he is not an easy horse to get fit and that is why he is being slowly brought along throughout the season. His last run was 6 weeks ago when 2nd to Black Ivory. That horse went and won a Pertemps Hurdle Qualifier last week so the form has since been boosted. I imagine LE BREUIL will arrive here in very good form and they will have him very fit after slowly bring him along. E/W.

2:40 Haydock
CLYNE 4/1 generally - 1 POINT WIN - Lost
CLYNE is decent value at 4/1 on this very deep ground. He will absolutely love it. He was 2nd to The New One at Ffos Las on his first start of the season and was only beaten 1/4 of a length. They were both sent off 2/1 joint favourites that day and The New One had Zoe Baker claiming 5lb, so the weight difference was only 3lb. Today neither horse has a claim so that puts CLYNE 3lb better off at the weights. Chunk Champion jockey Richard Johnson into the mix, as he is riding our selection, and what a bet we have at 4/1. The deeper the the ground the better. When others are hating the ground this horse will have his ears pricked, knee deep in mud.

3:00 Ascot
TENOR NIVERNAIS 10/1 generally - 0.5 POINTS E/W - None Runner
I am going to take a chance on course specialist TENOR NIVERNAIS here who is absolutely huge at 12/1. The negative being that this is his first start of the season but at the same time he will love conditions and absolutely loves Ascot. It was this time last year that he destroyed a quality field by 30 lengths at Ascot, with a fabulous front running performance. He beat top horses like Go Conquer and Sausalito Sunrise without breaking sweat. The key to this horse is getting him in a rhythm and jockey Aidan Coleman has a great partnership with this horse. We know he is going to front run and if he gets it together over the first 5 fences it will take a good one to catch him. E/W.

3:15 Haydock
YALA ENKI 8/1 generally - 0.5 POINTS E/W - Lost
HIGHLAND LODGE 20/1 Bet 365 - 0.5 POINTS E/W - Lost
We have 2 selections in this race.
All about the ground here what horses will love it and what horses won't. Two horses at big prices and I know for certain will love the conditions are YALA ENKI and HIGHLAND LODGE.
YALA ENKI wants the ground as deep as you can get it and he showed how good he can be on the ground when winning in Heavy ground at Kelso last March. He has had 3 starts this season and although he has underperformed, he hasn't quite had the testing ground he requires. YALA ENKI has come down the handicap to 147 which is only 1lb higher than his winning mark at Kelso. Sure to go close. E/W.
HIGHLAND LODGE has been around for what seems like forever. What a servant this horse has been to the sport. He has had 1 start this season when finishing 3rd to Blacklion in the Becher Chase. Again the softer the ground the better. He is rated 138 by the handicapper which is about right but with this tip it is not about the handicap mark. It is about handling the conditions and his jumping. Expect him to be prominent and when others have had enough he will keep plugging on. E/W.

Sunday - Day 7

2:10 Fontwell
THEOS CHARM 5/2 generally - 1 POINT WIN - Lost
THEOS CHARM is back over hurdles a couple of runs over fences. His last star over hurdles was in the Fixed Brush Hurdle back in November when finishing an excellent 3rd to Sam Spinner who is now Stayers Hurdle favourite. This race is much weaker and although he has gone up the handicap he is sure to run a big race. The ground will be no problem and he should appreciate the smaller obstacles. WIN.
Good Luck
