Todays Racing Tip - ALEXANDRKOLLONTAI
Time & Track - 6.20 NEWCASTLE
Best Odds - 20-1 General
Analysis - A winner of 10 of his 67 career races over 6 & 7F on all types of ground inc 1 on the AW(from just 4 starts) and off marks from 57-79 and class 3-4-5-6. Todays trip is 8F which he's yet to win over but has run well over this trip on several occasions including over CD when 6th to Red Palladin back at the beginning of October. He ran in Class 2 0-100 at Newmarket over 8F last time finishing 3L 6th of 9 to Lavetta. This is a competitive h'cap but not a great deal of recent form from any of the 14 runners with only Eastern Dragon winning last time & that was in Class 5 so now up in grade and 5lb more to carry. The biggest danger for me is top weight Edgar Baltazhar who could be dangerous if finding earlier form from Carlisle.

Todays Racing Tip - TITCH STRIDER
Time & Track - 1.00 FONTWELL
Best Odds - 8-1 General
Analysis - I was a bit disappointed with her run last time behind On Demand at Wincanton having run with good promise the time before over the same CD. She now runs back at the track where she was very unlucky ealrier in the season when travelling by far the best turning for home she lost her footing on the bend and slipped up, she's now 8lb lower than that run. The trip is interesting as she's been running on over 2m5 and now tries beyond 3m for only the 2nd time, the previous run was at Exeter over 3m1 where she finished 4th beaten only 5L in a Class 4 off a 9lb higher mark. This race does represent a drop in grade back to Class 5 1st time since the race she slipped up in. In fact her record in Class 5 h'cap races is quite decent with 2 wins from 12 runs with a further 5 2nds a 3rd with only 2 unplaced runs and 2 failed to completes (6-2-2-2-2-5-1-2-F-3-1-S).

Todays Racing Tip - MRS GRASS
Time & Track - 2.55 HEXHAM
Best Odds - 16-1 General
Analysis - One of my fav horse over the last few seasons, we've had some lovely success following her including 2 wins at 33-1 & 25-1 both over todays CD and both with soft in the going. She also ran a cracker back in April when a very close 2nd at 33-1 at Sedgefield again with soft in the going discription. She hasn't run well on her last few runs but they've all been on ground too quick for her, now she's down a few lbs and only 1lb above her winning mark from June. I'm hoping the return to her fav track back on a slower surface off a mark only 1lb above a winning mark lees the 5lb claim from her jock might just rejuvinate this free running front runner with her red visor on.

Todays Racing Tip - MORNING TIME
Time & Track - 3.30 HEXHAM
Best Odds - 8-1 General
Analysis - One last chance for the 10yo who's won 4 times at Hexham all over 2m now trying 2m4 over fences for the very first time. He's a very strong traveller but weak finisher and it maybe that he just doesn't have the speed for 2miles anymore and needs this longer trip. He's 21lb below his last winning mark from June 2014 when winning his only chase race, ground is ideal and we know he oves the track its just the trip. His jockey Harry Reed has ridden 6 winners under Nh rules all over fences whilst he's also 1 from 1 on the flat.

Todays Racing Tip - SULTANA BELLE
Time & Track - 4.00 HEXHAM
Best Odds - 14-1 General
Analysis - Another that won earlier in the year for us here at Hexham, that win was over 2m4 where she won nicely leading at the last and drawing clear. Since then she's not run to that form but she was raised 10lb for that win and is now 2lb lower than her winning mark. She is also a 2m4 winner over fences off a mark of 114 now some 27lb below that mark and trying as far as 2m7 for only the 2nd time having finished 4th at Downpatrick back in August 2013. She ran over 2m last time at Kelso where she was outpaced so hopefully this will be much more to her liking.
