Game: Leeds United vs Millwall
Venue: Elland Road
Kick-off: Saturday, 20th January, 3.00pm
Millwall will need to win their first away game since a 3-2 success at Scunthorpe on the 7th of May last season and that may be easier said than done at Elland Road. Leeds have slipped to three defeats in four and will be hopeful of avoiding a repeat of the form that saw them lose seven of eight not so long ago.
Millwall’s struggling away form has seen them earn six draws since returning to the Championship, losing the other seven in the process. The biggest concern for Neil Harris’ men will be that they’ve failed to score in nine of those. It’s the polar opposite of home form that has seen them register in 15 of 17 in all competitions.
Leeds United and Millwall is never a clash for the faint-hearted, but Thomas Christiansen will hope his side has learned a lot since their 1-0 defeat at The Den a few months ago. Leeds new look continental side were bullied on the day but should be better equipped to take revenge here.
Despite their recent wobble Leeds United at favourites at best odds of 13/10 with Betfred. The draw is available at 23/10 through Betfair whilst Millwall can be backed at 28/11 to cause a small shock at Elland Road.
The home side have won the last seven meetings and 10 of the last 11 when these two have clashed. Games have always been tight with the home atmosphere and surroundings being enough to give the home side a nudge over the finish line. Every game has been won and lost on fine margins, but Leeds have the creative quality to unlock defences in a tight game and desperately need to get back to winning ways.

Just three of the last 10 meetings have been decided by more than a single goal, and a majority of those were late second goals. The away side has failed to score in six of the last seven meetings and both teams scoring has only occurred once in 1- meetings. It should be another tight one at Elland Road where Leeds recently edged out Hull and Norwich by this same margin.
Back our Score Prediction: Leeds 1-0 at 11/2 with Coral
Pablo Hernandez will need to step up like he did in previous home games with the absence of Samuel Saiz. Alioski, Lasogga, Saiz, Roofe, Hernandez and Phillips all have five or more goals for Leeds but several of those are unlikely to feature from the start here. Kemar Roofe continues to do enough to start ahead of Lasogga and has to be considered the main threat.
Back our Scorer Prediction: Kemar Roofe at 45/17 with Bet365
