Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Fulham Predictions, Betting Tips & Preview

Match Preview

Wolves and Fulham both come into this game of the back of a short three-day turnaround, but the hosts will be hoping their home advantage can give them the extra boost needed to top the Championship once again.
Game: Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Fulham
Venue: Molineux Stadium
Kick-off: Friday 3rd November, 8.00PM
Wolves put in a fantastic effort to hold Manchester City scoreless for 120 minutes, but that game perhaps affected them just four days later at QPR. A 2-1 loss, their first for a month, saw them slip into second place in the table. Now they face a similar turnaround as they host Fulham just days after visiting Norwich.
Have Fulham shaken off their slow start? Well, after picking up two wins, four draws and two losses in their opening eight games in all competitions, they’ve picked up three wins, three draws and two losses since. They turned one point into three with late goals at Forest but overall Fulham are not yet at their best, despite often avoiding defeat.
Cardiff City are the only side to win at Molineux in nine attempts, where Nuno Santos’ men have looked a more consistent threat than they have on their travels. Results against City, Villa and Preston have seen Wolves continue to grow over their last few home games and they’ll fancy their chances of an 11th season win here.

Reasons for Betting Tips

Wolves are best odds of 11/10 to pick up all three points at home with Betfair, whilst the draw can be backed at 27/10 through the same outlet. Interestingly, Betfair are also currently best odds on a Fulham win as they go 11/4.

Nuno Santos’ men have been prolific and they’re picking up wins with regularity. Albeit one of their recent two winless games was against Man City, Wolves don’t look like a side very far away from their next win this season, and each Championship loss has sparked a winning run so far.

Fulham look too inconsistent and vulnerable at the back, which has been a problem for several years now. They’re currently just four points outside the playoffs and capable of much, much better which is the positive, but they’re not fantastic travellers against the top sides.

Back our Free Betting Tip: Wolves to win at 11/10 with Betfair

As dangerous as Wolves are going forward, they’ve shown a vulnerability against good attacking sides. Cardiff and Sheffield United have both beaten them whilst Bristol City drew 3-3 here. Although Wolves will expect to win this game, it won’t be cut and dry. Fulham have 10 goals in seven away games so far this season, and Wolves have scored 13 whilst allowing eight at home.

Back our Score Prediction: Wolves to win 2-1 at best odds 15/2 with Bet365

Wolves are hurting teams from all over the pitch and Fulham have a real threat in Stefan Johansen who can both score and create. The midfield maestro has played a role in goals for Fonte, Piazon and Kamara so far this, but it’s Leo Bonatini who is taking the league by storm. The Wolves hitman has netted in eight of 14, assisted a couple of goals and opened the scoring on four occasions.

Back our Scorer Prediction: Leo Bonatini to score at 17/10 with Betfred
