Wolves vs Nottingham Forest Predictions, Betting Tips & Preview
Wolves will host a Nottingham Forest side who have despite a fantastic win over Arsenal remain in poor form and inconsistent form. Wolves have dropped more points recently than any five-game stretch since late August, despite the fact they’ve still won three of five and drawn the remaining two.
Game: Wolves vs Nottingham Forest
Venue: Molineux Stadium
Kick-off: Saturday, 20th January, 3.00pm
It’s clear Wolves are unstoppable. Already a number of points clear and flying at the top of the Championship, Nuno Santos moved to add Rafa Mir to his already talented side. Mir turned down the opportunity to move to Real Madrid in favour of the Molineux switch and should provide the added depth to ensure Wolves can keep things fresh and get over the finishing line quite comfortably.
Nottingham Forest’s goal this season may have been a move towards the top end of the table after a disappointing season but failure for that to materialise saw a managerial departure by Christmas. Forest responded with a 0-0 at Leeds and a stunning win over Arsenal, but their 0-1 loss at home to Aston Villa highlighted their inconsistency.
Forest avoided relegation by the skin of their teeth last season. It took a three victory over Ipswich to save them on the final day, and just a one-goal victory would have seen them survive on goals scored alone. Forest are currently closer to the drop this season but as they sit in mid-table, a win here could leave them eight points from the playoffs.
Wolves already seem home and dry and are just 3/8 with Unibet to win again here. The draw is available at 15/4 through Bet365 whilst Nottingham Forest are best odds 7/1 with Paddy Power.
The fact that Wolves three wins and two draws in their last five is their worst return from any five-game stretch since September is quite frankly frightening. The Championships answer to Manchester City have won eight of their last nine at home and kept five clean sheets in the process, winning five of those games by two clear goals. Forest have scored just twice in their last six games and have been beaten four times.

Nine of the 13 sides to host Forest this season have breached them at least twice, with four of those sides scoring three or more. But Wolves have only noticed three or more at home on select occasions and often rely on quality defence to see games out.
Back our Score Prediction: Wolves 2-0 at 11/2 with Coral
Wolves have a number of goal scoring threats in their ranks but Leo Bonatini has been the most lethal of them all with 12 in 27 goals. You just can’t rely on a Forest goal scorer here and of Bonatini’s 12 goals, eight have come here at Molineux.
Back our Scorer Prediction: Leo Bonatini at 22/23 with Bet365
