Gambling addict?

The tipster has a poor mentality, often spiffing away a high points allocation on 'sure things' - comparing them to interest at a bank.

Case in point, a bet on a 1/5 (1.20) bet lost recently - when questioned I was simply blocked... nice way to treat a paying member!

If you look at his results you will see he has a knack for getting odds on shots beat... but then CAN land a big priced winner. Bizarre.

I have been a member since October started off slowly, but some good winners over the last couple of weeks. Have read the reviews they are dated 2016 so do not understand the significance to the current tips. Am a bit surprised at some of short odds tipped getting beat and backing more than one horse in a race at short odds. But overall very satisfied.

I've been with this service for ~2 months so can't put a lot of weight into this review, but I have been more than satisfied. There are loosing runs for sure as would be expected with a tipster tipping at such high odds at times, but the most important thing is the long term graph is upwards. Therefore, there needs to be a long term approach to this service. The overall trend upwards used to be a little steeper than it is now, but given how competitive and evolving the markets are, it's remarkable to see ANY tipster to prove profitable for more than a year now. This tipster ticks most of the boxes, but I'm not giving 5 stars for two reasons. One is as other people agree and that is putting in short odds favourites which don't win as often as they should. I would be fine backing favourites as well as high priced horses if the value was there, but at least from my point of view, it seems that the short odds selections eat into the long term profits of the high odds horses so if I was the tipster I would review my long term results at different odds ranges and re-consider the approach. The second negative is that the selections are sent either the night before or too early in the morning, which rings the bell at the bookies and they tend to severely restrict people who bet on horses at these times frequently, even if they don't win (after a 101 win recently I've lost 3 bookie accounts!). Having said this, there are Exchanges available (where I actually managed to match about 1/2 of my stake put at this large winner at about 80% of the advised price), but given my estimated R.O.I. of 20% of this service betting at 80% of price would not produce any profit long term. The price could often be matched much better than that on Exchanges, but not always. Unless I can grab a hold of a new set of bookie accounts I won't continue with this tipster, but for anyone who has a set of at least 5-6 fully functioning bookie accounts (if with BOG the better) I'd highly recommend this service. But in this case, don't put more than about £20 per point or spread your stake largely across more bookies, even if at a bit lower price somewhere, as my stake was £30/point and I could clearly see how the bookies started forcing my allowed stakes down with time. Also, before you bet at bookies, check the Exchanges as at times (but not always!) I have managed to bet at least at the advised odds or better there and there is no risk of restriction (although count in the commission then by doing ((odds-1)*commission reduction)+1 Anyway, out of all the tipsters at Betting Gods, I believe there are only 3 or 4 who are worth investing in and following long term and if you have the bookie accounts, I'd certainly recommend Flat Racing Master.

subscribed after a discounted offer and not overly impressed and yesterday was the icing on the cake - a 5 point win on a 1/5 shot that got beaten 7 lengths and 2 win selections in a 6 runner race that both got beaten.

I'm still following the tipping service and today he gave out a 5pt win on a 4/5 shot, really sad what has happened to this service.Last week I e-mailed Matt at betting gods for an explanation but he couldn't be arsed to get back to me

Totally agree with the last 2 posts, ive been with them for 18 months when its been ok but the past few weeks it seems that hes turned into a problem gambler staking big points on short favourites even losing 5pts on a 1/4 shot.Really disappointed as I have a lifetime membership but the way he's tipping is the quickest way to the poorhouse therefore I have unsubscribed

Final Review

After an abysmal run of form I cancelled my membership rather than renewing. A promising start was very quickly replaced with poor performance across the board. My 2 biggest problems were that quantity is far too high and the odds went from value to several 5 pt bets on very short odds selections. I think it was chasing losses but whether that's the case or not the losses just stacked up further. I cannot recommend this service anymore. There are far better options within the Betting Gods platform.

I've been with this service for just over 2 years having bought a lifetime subscription some time ago.

It's been generally good; some losing runs as you would expect but making profit. However, recently I'm wondering if it's becoming a bit too reckless.

We're starting to get tips in the mornings as well as the previous night. No problems with that, but some of the tips in the morning are for an additional horse in a race where we've already backed another horse (or horses) on advice from the night before. I'm left wondering what has changed overnight that we've added another selection in the morning? Why not just send out both selections the night before?

To compound this, the morning selection is very often a short priced horse with a larger points stake. This is worrying to me - almost like there is no confidence in the original selection so we'll cover ourselves by lumping on the favourite.

And this brings me on to my major gripe - there is no write up on why this is being done. If we had reasons as to why any selection was being advised then I wouldn't have an issue with this. Without any reasoning this feels a bit reckless, like we're chasing losses with a scatter gun approach to selections.

This seems to be borne out by the increasing number of selections - so far this month over 100 as at 19th May, including an additional 5 this morning with 19 points in stakes.

Overall I agree with what others have said, have a larger than advised betting bank if you want to start following, but I'm sorry to say I couldn't recommend this service now because of the dramatic increase in selections and no write ups.

Will update again later as only been following for about a month and a half. To date I've seen 75% roi which is remarkable but as previous reviews have already noted staking is high and somewhat reckless at times. Poor runs (in the middle of one at present with May showing over 30 points lost thus far) have been seeing foolish tips of large stakes on short odd favs which tend to lose bleeding more of the profit away. He lands some nice ones for sure but think overall performance would be better with more limited stakes and completely avoiding the shorties.

This service has been in standstill for almost a year. When you factor in the fees it's not worth it. Maybe just bet his summer tips he has been consistently losing on AW. He started with a bang like most tipsters but the profits have steadily gone down.

I have been with this service since July 2016 and am 233 points up.
There have been some highs and lows but the trendline on the graph is upwards which is good. I bought the service for life and it has taken a long time to be convinced by it.
There have been losing runs which have been huge - he has lost 110 points during one period - just imagine if you bought the service then!
I would recommend this service but put a 200 point bank in place - that way you can ride the lows as well as the highs.

I have been with FRM for 2 months now and the losses have been consistent.
The odds quoted are generally in the area however the results so far have been dire, the selections have failed to produce even when low odds horses are thrown into the mix.
As someone else stated,a bigger bank maybe if you intend following, for me however, he has failed to produce anything other than losses and it is time for us to part company.

Unlike the significant chunk of reviews that give 1 or 5 stars purely based on the tipster's form at any given moment in time, I've been following FRM for 5 months now and I'm giving him 3*

The positives:
>Overall I'm up on that period

>His prices are more attainable than some of the other tipsters on the BG platform and don't tend to shorten so drastically as the day wears on

>If you're looking for a bit more of an adrenaline rush from your tipsters then credit where it's due, he's landed some big outsiders over that period.

>He had a 2-3 week period in June that was ridiculously good, picking 8-1, 12-1, even a 25-1 (though it drifted to that price on the day) left, right, and centre. Although...

(The negatives)
...that 2-3 week period (of around 80-90 points profit) has been immediately followed by a downturn of around 50-60 points. And that's one of my major issues - if you're going to follow this guy, I'd honestly double the recommended bank.

>As some of the people have commented to him directly on BG, at times he feels both reckless in his chasing and like he's desperately chasing losses. And that's my major concern, because if your tipster isn't self-disciplined...

>Some of the advice, even to me who clearly has less overall knowledge than him, has immediately rang alarm bells. Today he's advising a 3-point bet on a 2/7 favourite. Last week he advised backing 4 horses at 2 points each (1 point e/w) in a 9-horse race (none won). He fairly regularly advises on backing 2 or 3 horses in a race (high exposure) and he also rarely actually advises a 1-point stake (which makes me question what his admittedly impressive monthly return as quoted on BG would be at level stakes). Also, in terms of the chasing losses theory, he has regularly backed up a poor couple of days with a 3-point advisory on a 11/10 or even 8/11 favourite (which have gone on to lose more than half the time, surprise). Some of these things just seem like basic no-no advice when it comes to betting. Finally, he's shown an expensive obsession for a dozen or so horses so far this summer. Several of which we've probably staked 10-12 points on individually and, having watched a lot of these races, it really feels like mis-placed pride or faith with most of them.

So I'll probably quit the service at the end of the month. I realise it's a fair chunk of negativity but the bottom line overall profit (albeit not spectacular) has to redress a bit of it. What I'd kind of hope is that he'd just refine his advice a bit. More sensible staking and exposure-limiting and a bit more dispassionate with his personal favourites. He could cut down on the numerous days where he advises an overall 20 point outlay for a return of 2-4 points (it has happened regularly), just by staking more reasonably. Then the 12-1 winners would do a bit more than balance the books.

This guy is a crook. He has lost over 100 points profit this year to realistically achievable odds and lost over 75 points to the unachievable odds he advises. Complete waste of time and money. The usual Betting Gods honey trap for suckers who believe massaged statistics in glossy adverts.

A quality service, which is easy to follow. Have been with Matt's service for a while now, and so far it has been "A nice little earner". Of course there are the occasional low points like all services, but the general trend is upward.

I've sampled many tipsters over the years and as many of us will know the quality varies considerably. Matt's service is first class, sure it has some ups and downs on the journey but importantly the trend is consistently up and my betting bank is growing at a health pace. His ability to pick big priced winners in truly exceptional - keep up the good work!

Been with Matt for 6 months now, never failed to deliver.
Made some good profits, however find it hard to get the same odds as he does, even 20 mins after the e-mail odds can be lower, so his profits will be higher than yours, little misleading??

So far, so good. Only joined a month ago so it looks like I joined on a good month. Seems to be very consistent and having the email's about his tips the night before is really handy and the odds tend to be better also. Can't fault the profit he brings in each month!

i have been with this tipster for a few months and the early signs are very good. I regularly get the advised odds or very close to and the early email the next before makes it easy to place bets around work. I have been impressed by the selections and can verify reults. Very good tipster so far. May this continue for the long time!
