Interview with Horse Racing Tipster : Value Racing Tips
Tipsters Review - 09-Feb-2015

My first interest of sports came from my Dad watching Footie on TV and watching the Racing and listening to him phoning up to put his bets on. In the eighties I started picking out horses mainly using famous jockeys and trainers names and found I was making a few pounds so got more interested the turning point was in 1990 when I was diagnosed with an illness that prevented me from working and got quite depressed so I decided to keep my mind stimulated I began to take a in depth look into Horse Racing the form and used to write down results of races daily and study them until I found there were indications for picking certain horses in certain races.
After my illness which ended in 2000 I had found lots of hints, tips, formulas all to aid me with tipping horses. That ’s when I started generating a steady income.
How did you come to select Horse Racing as your chosen sport?
I tried betting on football but found I would always get beat by last minute goals. In hindsight I guess a lot of success is to be made by betting on carefully researched matches in accumulators. I find Horse Racing more interesting; studying the form and finding the value, it ’s like an us and them (Bookies) scenario. Horse Racing is a challenge and I love a challenge, it gives me a great feeling of satisfaction to find a winner, and not a short priced horse most tipsters pick.
As a spectacle I love watching Royal Ascot and Cheltenham but not as betting opportunities I try to pick horses from uncompetitive races.
What was your best ever bet?
I bet long term as an investment, profit year after year.
I did pick Red Marauder at 66/1 who won the 2001 Grand National. I won a nice few pounds then.
The key for me is Value, but also I review how competitive the race is. I try to avoid 5f and 6f races as slow out the gates or short of room = race over, Trainer form, Statistics, anything that stands out to me maybe a jockey booking or a horse racing over a different distance I could really write a book on everything I look into.
What has been the biggest influence on your betting career?
Has to be my Dad who I mentioned in my first answer.
Do you have any future plans in regards to your service?
To continue to make regular long term profits and keep members happy
What has been the biggest challenge you’ve faced in your betting career?
I guess it was learning to be disciplined with my money it was not easy early on, but as they say practice makes perfect.
That’ s tough but I have a very understanding Family and try not to overlap the two if it can be helped, the times I study doesn’ t affect us much.
Not really if I watch a Football match I tend to favour the underdog. I dislike perfectionists in sport, same goes for Horse Racing.
How do you keep calm when you hit a run of losing bets?
As I mentioned earlier - discipline. I know by sticking to all my ideas it will turn around as I have proven over many years, losing runs is part and parcel of any betting activity.
I bet the same amount daily on each of the three horses, I take a long term view and this turns into a nice regular profit
My results have proven with Betting Gods in excess of one year now, and I have been doing this for many years even before joining the Betting Gods Team.
Betting Gods also have a 60 day guarantee on their service so if you’ re not happy with what I provide you can always let them know and reclaim your subscription fees.
I wish you all the best thank you for listening
