Zurich Classic & Volvo China open Free Betting Tips & Preview
Last week despite all 5 players making the cut none of them could cope with the very windy weekend conditions and consequently dropped right out of contention.
I was pleased for 6 time runner up Kevin Chappel to finally get his first PGA tour win with a virtually identical winning putt to the one Charley Hoffman
had last year. On the European Tour my fancy Ross Fisher had a good crack at winning and but for a late bogey would have got into the play off with
Tommy Fleetwood who had a cracking final round of -9 to make the playoff with Weisberger. Unfortunately for Tommy though BW birdied the first extra
hole to win the Shenzhen International Open.
This week we have the Volvo China Open on the European Tour and a brand new format on the PGA tour for the Zurich Classic Of New Orleans. A team format
where the pairings play Foursomes(alternate shots) days 1 & 3 and Better Ball days 2 & 4. The Top 35 and tied pairings will make it past the
Day 2 cut.
VOLVO CHINA OPEN Betting Tips & Preview
Jordan Smith 28-1
Alex Levy 25-1
Both JS & AL had very good tournaments last week in the Shenzhen International finishing T14th on -11 & T8th -12, but for an opening Round of 74
Levy would have been very much incontention. Levy who is 102 in the World Rankings comes here on the back of a 4th place in the Maybank & 34th
Trophee Hassan. He was 28th in last years China Open after a great 4th in the Shenzhen, finishing on -11 after a level par 72 last round saw him drop
away and in 2013 he was 3rd again after a poor last round of 73 saw him lose his winning chance. Whilst Jordan Smith has made his way into the Worlds
top 100 now sitting at 98th, he has 3 top 10 finishes this year in 12 starts, last year he was on the Challenge Tour where he had 2 wins and 2nds plus
a further 4 Top 10 finishes.
ZURICH CLASSIC OF NEW ORLEANS Betting Tips & Preview
A.CEJKA/S.KJELDSEN 100-1 6places
B.HUN AN/S-YUL NOH 66-1 5places
With this new format its pure speculation as too what group/pairings will work well together both An/Noh played well in last years 54 hole event with 5
of the 6 rounds in the 60's and all 6 under par. The other pairing is again speculation but both Cejka and Kjeldsen are strong players who if the gel
well together could be a dangerous team. it will be fascinating to see how this new format works as both winners will get a 2 year exemption and 400
Fedex Cup points each so there is a lot to play for.
As usual all tips are recommended to 1pt ew Singles so 8pts total stake
Good Luck
