Analysis - This seven-year old was successful at this course back in March last year and ran a blinder the last day over C&D when just failing to wear down a big improver in Locker Room Talk when beaten a head in second. He’s up 4lb for that but has conditions in favour again and a repeat of that run would see him go very close with Daryl Jacob taking over from a conditional.

Analysis - I was impressed with how this horse won at Doncaster at the end of December, a ten-length victory when stepped up to 3m for the first time and there’s every chance he’s got plenty more in the locker and is well worth a go in graded company. He’s only ran once before on proper soft ground but wasn’t that disgraced when midfield in the EBF novice handicap final at Sandown, a race known for producing plenty of future winners, so hopefully this gelding can complete a hat-trick of chase wins.

Analysis - First and second in his two bumpers and filled the same spots on his first two hurdling starts. Both victories have come on heavy ground at Ffos Las, hurdle win over this 2m4f trip, so he likes a slog which this could be and an opening mark of 124 could well underestimate this son of Oscar having contested the Grade 1 Challow Hurdle at Newbury just after Christmas. He’s now dropped into a 0-125 off top-weight but may be too smart for his opposition.
