Analysis – This six-year old is a five-furlong specialist having ran all his races over the minimum trip and in doing so has accumulated six wins, three of which have been recorded at this course. The latest of those came after a 60-day break back in February and he’s only 2lb higher now, a mark of 86 in which he’s gone close on numerous occasions before. This gelding has been running in decent quality sprint handicaps over the past few years and now takes a drop into class 4 company where he’s 3/8 (that latest course win came in this grade). He’s drawn slightly wider than ideal but if getting away on terms this prominent racer must hold every chance with a lot in his favour.

Analysis – Successful twice so far this season, both in class 2 handicaps, and after that Newbury success (Ice Age 24-lengths behind that day) he’s ran well from his higher rating and he’s now been eased a pound after a staying-on third over 5f at Chelmsford latest. Step back up in trip a plus and Sean Levey back in the saddle is interesting given he’s 3/3 on this gelding, I still think there’s further improvement forthcoming.
