Analysis – Won over a mile at Ayr in a higher grade just a couple of weeks ago on this forecasted good ground and has only a 3lb rise to contend with in this now dropped slightly in grade. He also takes a drop back to seven-furlongs which is not a problem with some strong form already achieved at tis trip this year (figures 1-4-1-1-2-3). He was just beaten over C&D by the now 108-rated Society Power in May and a repeat of that effort along with his most recent outing should see this three-year old go very close, providing a clear run which is not always the case at this venue. Of his trainer’s three runners, he’s the choice of stable-jockey Joe Fanning also.

Analysis – Made all in good style over 1m6f the last day at Haydock and has subsequently taken a 7lb hit for that success. He was seventh in the King George V Stakes at Ascot over this 1m4f trip with the re-opposing Corgi in second but was unable to get a nice prominent position from a wide draw that day and stayed on nicely from the back. Providing that isn’t the case again here then he should come on for that recent victory and the booking of Ryan Moore is a positive. He’d previously bolted up over this trip at Leicester and this stiff track should suit.

Analysis – Has progressed nicely since stepping up to two-miles back in May having won three and finished 2nd on other outing. The latter effort was in this grade and he was only beaten just over a length from 5lb lower behind a subsequent winner and this gelding arrives here on the back of a class 3 handicap success over the extended two-miles. The way he’s finished his races recently has suggested that a further step up in trip should suit and with further progress likely now upped to 2m4f he may well out run his odds for a trainer who’s enjoyed a fine run of form. Would have preferred the ground to be on the quicker side but he’s run well on a slightly easier surface before.
