Analysis - Has ran well the last two seasons in the Badger Ales at Wincanton and arrives here a pound lower than when sixth in that race the last day, which puts this gelding only a pound above his last winning mark achieved back in May. He drops down from listed company into a class 3 now and the drying conditions will suit, course form is 2-1-2-4 and one of those seconds came from 1lb higher in this same race last year when beaten just over two-lengths. Mr Noel George claims a handy 7lb and I’d be hopeful of a good run by this eight-year old.

Analysis - This eight-year old makes his seasonal reappearance and this might just be the best time to catch him having won on return two of the past three seasons. The one defeat came last year when second in a class 2 handicap over C&D behind the 151-rated Ballymoy and he’s now running off a 2lb lower mark, down in grade he should be going very close if reproducing that level of form with conditions to suit.
