Analysis – One that has won for us before when winning for the first time. That was on good ground over 2m7 at Hexham off 81 he followed that up with wins off 87-98-110 now back down to 95 after some very tame efforts. He did win over 2m 7 off 87 at Hexham by 30L on good ground whilst the other wins came on soft and heavy but I’ve laways felt good ground was his prefered surface.

Analysis – Winner of 8 races 7 in h’caps off marks of 73-64-70-73-78-79-85. Today he runs off the same mark as when a decnt 3rd last time out at Pontefract of 68. He has been running well of late without getting his head in front so is due a change of luck. This is an apprentice race where his jockey has ridden 42 winners from 268 rides but is 0/14 in 2017 as a very accomplished jockey he won’t be lacking for assistance from the saddle.

Analysis – A class 5 0-75 for apprentices where the top weight is only rated 70 so effectively making this a 0-70 h’cap. The selection is currently the 33-1 outsider of the field ridden by Sophie Ralston who has ridden 2 career winners so she gets a 2lb allowance here. Tonis A Star has won 5 of his 32 career races including one over CD that was a Class 5 beating Bashiba who is now rated in the 80’s off a mark of 59 today he runs off just 54. His other wins have been off 60 at Bath for his other turf win whereas his 3 AW wins have come off 45-50-56 his most recent form hasn’t been great but he ran over 6F last time which is too far and last time he ran on turf he was running off a 10lb higher mark so it would be no shock to see him run much better than his outsider of the filed price would suggest.

Analysis – A class 5 0-75 h’cap where none of the 11 runners won last time out. The selection has won 5 times 3 on the AW all at Southwell off marks of 75-75-78 his 2 turf wins have been at Pontefract in a maiden given a mark of 76 for that win and a Class 4 hcap at Chester off 77 so todays mark of 70 is below all his previous 5 winning marks and those 2 turf wins were on good and good/firm so conditions including the trip are all ideal for a good run.

Analysis – A class 5 0-70 apprentice h’cap where the selections runs off just 53 having won off 45-51-58-58 she’s also been placed of marks as hi as 62 so todays mark of just 53 gives her a very realistic chance of at least running her race.There are 3 3yo’s in the field plus 2 last time out winners so it won’t be easy but she should run well aftera decent run at Bath last time when 2L 5th of 13.

Analysis – A dual CD winner both the same race on Derby day offmark of 100 in 2014 and 97 in 2015. He ran 8th to Blaine in 2016 off 100 and this year was 7th to reputation off 89. He’s been dropped a massive 6lb since that run and meets his derby day conquerer on 10lb better terms. He has only one way of running and thats blast out and go so hopefully from stall 5 he’ll get that lead.

Analysis – He’s a 9 times career winner inc 1 NH flat race 1 hurdle 6 chases and 1 PTP. His 5 timer last Autumn started on 79 and ended on 99 all over very similar trips as today although he is still a few lba above that last winning mark. Last time at Cartmel it all happened a bit too quick for him so this track where he has won will suit him much better.
