The handicapper has allowed this Gedling to run off the same mark here and with Silvestre De Sousa (record of 2-2-1-0 on this horse) back in the saddle, this four-year old may well gain a first win over this trip on ground that suits.

Analysis - Five of his six career wins have come over the larger obstacles and this eight-year old reverts back to chasing after bolting up by nine-lengths over timber at Worcester recently and he’s still sitting on a mark 7lb lower than when winning at Fakenham back in January. Since his wind op back in May he ran with credit in two outings before that hurdling win and that would have boosted confidence now going back chasing, should go close.
