Analysis - Scored over track and trip just last week so has to carry a 6lb penalty in this but 5lb claimer negates 5lb of that and he’s 1/2 on this five-year old having won on him at Carlisle last July. All wins have come over this six-furlong trip with three of them coming at this West-Yorkshire venue. That win recently came in a class 3 and they’ve dropped him into class 4 company for this so you’d have to think he’s capable of running a big race against lesser opposition as the runner-up has since come out and finished a good second this week. Ground/trip fine, should go well.

Analysis - All five career wins have come over this five-furlong trip with the last of those coming over C&D back in May from a 5lb lower mark. His only effort since where he was disgraced was when upped to six-furlongs (doesn’t stay) and the handicapper has dropped him back to a mark of 73 where he was beaten only a neck here in a higher grade. He’s sitting 4lb below his highest winning mark and his trainer Ruth Carr has won two of the last five renewals (including last year) so is worth a punt back at a course where he’s shown some of his recent best work.
