Analysis – He was a NR for us last Tuesday at Hamilton Park when a NR due to the ground, interestingly the ground is pretty similar here today and once again he has first time blinkers declared.He has won 3 times over 1m3-1m4 on good or soft going so conditions are ideal today I’m still a little confused by his withdrawl last week as the soft ground is perfect for him.

Analysis – Was my nap 2 runs back when 2nd over 6F at Newcastle trying to make all the running. Last time out I left him over 7F as that trip is too far for him, that proved to be the case as he led until the final furlong. Now back over 6F on a soft surface in this grade he looks sure to run well. Normally stall 12 at Catterick wouldn’t be a good draw but on soft ground they do tend to comestands side which would negate much of the negativity.He should again make a bold bid to lead all the way.

Analysis – An interesting runner over this trip as he is a 7 times winner all over 7f or 1mile he’s only ever run over 6F once and that was on debut. It’s interesting that his trainer who does do well with sprinters is dropping him back in trip. The going isn’t ideal as majority of his wins have come on good/firm but he has won on good/soft plus placed on soft and he’s now back to his last winning mark of 62.

Analysis – Yet to win from 10 starts but in those 10 runs only 1 has been over this 5F trip, that was his best run when 4th beaten only 2L off 53 now of just 50. He ran well over 6F on soft ground at Hamilton last week when 4th of 11 beaten 4L only weakening last 100yds so this stiff 5F trip should be ideal for him.

Analysis – An interesting runner now back on the AW especially here at Newcastle as he has 3 wins and 4 2nds from 12 runs on the AW. Interesting because he has been a NR 4 times in last 6 weeks on turf running just once at Newmarket when 7th over 1mile beaten only last furlong. His record here at Newcastle(AW) reads 1-1-1-2-2 that last defeat off 75 now down to 73 gives him a great chance here.

Analysis – A 6 times winner on turf who has run well last 2 times for us at big odds. Now in class 6 on only his 5th AW run all previous 4 have been over CD where he has run well in better company off marks of 72-65 now off just 58 and down in grade he has been found a great opportunity to win his 7th race and first since May 2016 when he won off 71.
