Today’s Horse Racing Tips

Todays Racing Tip – HIGHEST SUN
Time & Track – 2.45 Chepstow (12/10)
Best Odds – 6/1 @ Bet365

Stake – 1pt win

Analysis – Was well-backed when winning easily over C&D back in February and can be forgiven his down the field effort in the Coral Cup at the Cheltenham Festival as that came over 2m5f which on soft ground would have stretched him. He’s back down to the bare 2m and the softer surface shouldn’t be a problem having won on very soft ground when trained in France. The handicapper has eased this five-year old 3lb which puts him 5lb above the mark he won off on penultimate outing and with him still unexposed he certainly enters calculations with some fair form in the book at the beginning of last season behind a couple now rated 151. He also has the added bonus of Jonjo O’Neill Jr’s 3lb claim which should help.

Todays Racing Tip – RELENTLESS DREAMER
Time & Track – 3.20 Chepstow (12/10)
Best Odds – 5/1 @ Ladbrokes

Stake – 1pt win

Analysis – This gelding has not been seen since his neck victory at Cheltenham almost a year ago (front pair 11-lengths clear of third) and though 4lb higher now he has a good record fresh having won three times on reappearance after 100+ day absence. He’s a previous course winner and hails from a yard who have been in tremendous form so far this season with a 53% strike-rate and if raring to go after this break then I’d give him a chance.

Todays Racing Tip – CHARBEL
Time & Track – 5.05 Chepstow (12/10)
Best Odds – 5/1 @ Ladbrokes

Stake – 1pt win

Analysis – This gelding will be trying to repeat his success in this race from 12 months ago from a 3lb higher mark and though his form tailed off at the back end of last season those runs did come against top opposition and he might well have been feeling the effects of previous exertions. The best time to catch him tends to be when a fresher horse having won first time out in 2015 & 2016 and Kim Bailey has sent two winners out in his past four so the stable are in form. He will like the ground and a repeat of last year’s win in this race, along with other pieces of form behind Politologue & Top Notch as well as when bolting up in the Peterborough Chase last year, would make this eight-year old a tough nut to crack especially if a wind op during his break has had a positive effect on him.
