Tipsters Review - November 22, 2018

Today’s Horse Racing Tips

Todays Racing Tip – DANS LE VENT

Time & Track – 2.55 Kempton (12/11)
Best Odds – 5/1 @ Betfair

Stake – 2pt win

Analysis – Was a close 2nd at Cheltenham last October behind 141-rated Slate House (who went on to beat subsequent Supreme winner Summerville Boy next time) before scoring in a novice event at Market Rasen by six-lengths. Ran with real promise in the Grade 3 Silver Trophy at Chepstow on return last month when a staying on 4th (2m3f) and that’s usually a race that produces future winners. The step back up in trip to 2m5f will suit as his only go at it was beaten just over a length in 2nd back in March. Any rain they get won’t be a problem as has shown form on all types of ground and Aidan Coleman keeps the ride (22% strike-rate with trainer Jamie Snowdon). Drops in class and likely to be a major player.

Todays Racing Tip – RAINY CITY

Time & Track – 3.10 Carlisle (12/11)
Best Odds – 8/1 @ Bet365

Stake – 1pt win

Analysis – Turns out for Donald McCain for the first time here after switching stables from Iain Jardine. He won a class 3 novice handicap chase at Perth from a 4lb lower mark in April after going down by two-lengths on his only outing at this course. He wasn’t as fluent in the jumping department the last twice though they both came in higher grades and he’s now dropped down into class 4 for his stable debut. He’s only one of four distance winners in the race and having dropped a few pounds for those recent outings may well be ready to strike again with Brian Hughes in the plate in a wide-open contest.

Todays Racing Tip – GAELIC PRINCE
Time & Track – 12.45 Kempton (12/11)
Best Odds – 5/1 @ Betfair

Stake – 1pt win

Analysis – Was unfortunate to unseat Dicky Johnson on racecourse debut at Exeter almost a year ago to the day when very badly hampered. He went off 7/2 second-favourite that day and the first two home were Dynamite Dollars & Thomas Patrick (chase ratings 146 & 148 respectively) so it wasn’t a bad novice event. He’s been given time to recover and returns now with Philip Hobbs’ yard in blistering form (30% strike-rate past fortnight) and should provide strong competition for the short-priced favourite.
