Today’s Horse Racing Tips

Todays Racing Tip – VERDANA BLUE
Time & Track – 2.25 Ayr (13/04)
Best Odds – 13/2 @ Betfair

Stake – 1pt win

Analysis – She’s a horse that clearly needs good ground with all wins coming on nothing worse than good-to-soft. Her run in the Champion Hurdle when fifth was respectable and she wasn’t really given a hard race by her jockey having travelled on the bridle most the way off the pace on soft ground. She beat Buveur D’Air in a Grade 1 at Christmas as well as beating last week’s Stayers’ Hurdle winner If The Cap Fits in a Grade 2 at Wincanton in November. This seven-year old is having to carry top-weight but the 7lb-claim of Conor Brace will aid her cause and she was a close fourth when last seen in a handicap (Greatwood at Cheltenham) from 3lb lower.

Todays Racing Tip – HELLO YOUMZAIN
Time & Track – 2.40 Newbury (13/04)
Best Odds – 11/4 @ Bet365

Stake – 1pt win

Analysis – Easy winner on debut in a Carlisle maiden and was short-headed next time out at Haydock, the winner has won twice since and the third has also won. Ended first campaign with a two-and-a-length victory in a Group 2 in Maisons-Laffitte over 6f and shaped as though he’ll get this 7f just fine. That win looks decent form as the third has since gone close in both Group 1 & 3’s over in France and with James Doyle taking over in the saddle I can see this son of Kodiac going close (holds 2000 Guineas entry – though so do a few others).

Todays Racing Tip – RED STARLIGHT
Time & Track – 3.15 Newbury (13/04)
Best Odds – 9/1 @ Bet365

Stake – 1pt win

Analysis – Enjoyed a decent season last year with three wins, accounted for this year’s easy Lincoln winner Auxerre in a Novice over this trip before a couple of handicap wins (7f-1m) and ended the campaign with two really likeable runs in listed company including when staying-on over shorter in soft ground at Ascot. He returned to action with probably his best effort to date when beaten two-lengths behind the smart Sharja Bridge and back into a handicap here may just have that touch of class to win one of these. He’s still unexposed and has won on soft ground over C&D as a two-year old, will obviously need things to fall into place with a field of 27 but might be on the right side in regards early pace and could pick up the pieces as the race unfolds.

Todays Racing Tip – SOLOMON GREY
Time & Track – 4.10 Ayr (13/04)
Best Odds – 7/2 @ Bet365

Stake – 1pt win

Analysis – Not been seen since a close second to the re-opposing Big Time Dancer in the Lanzarote Hurdle at Kempton and that was his first try at this 2m5f trip. He’s a seven-year old going the right way and on ground that suits should go close being unexposed at the trip for a yard that has won this race twice in recent years and is still firing in the winners. Has had a short break and goes well fresh so you’d imagine this has been a target.
