Analysis – His last win was over CD off 59 on good/firm, today on firm off just 53 gives him a great chance of getting back to winning ways the 13yo Mambo Spirit who loves it here is a big danger, as is Jaganory who beat the selection over 1/2F further 2 runs back by 2L the selection is now 9lb better off. Stall 5 is ideal for his front running tactics, thats the way he runs his best races.

Analysis – He’s only run 23 times with 2 hurdle wins 1 chase and 1 turf flat win. He’s yet to win on the AW after 2 runs but it’s been a while since he ran on it and he’s shown improved hurdles form since he last ran on it. He’s a winner off 118 over hurdles and 122 over fences and last ran on the flat at Sandown where he ran 9L 6/6 over 1m6 off 77. That was his first run for 3m plus it was class 4 so this ease in grade is significant. I’m not a JCrowley fan but sometims you have to give them a chance to redeem themselves so I’ll be watching you Jim!!

Analysis – A 4 times winner all over 6F off progressive marks including Ayr Silver Cup in 2014. Hasn’t won since 2015 but is now 14lb below his highest mark. He has 6F again after running over 5F for 7 of his 9 runs for Robert Cowell. He also has a hood back on a head gear he has won in in the past but been missing for his last 12 runs. Ashpam Sam will go hard from the front but under a 6lb penalty for last weeks CD win when we were on does make him vulnerable to a finisher.

Analysis – A quality 0-100 class 2 5F h’cap on the July course. The selection has donemost of his winning over 6F but a strongly run 5 over this stiffer 5F might just suit him. He ran well when 3rd at both Newmarket and Goodwood both over 6F off marks of 97 & 98. Todays mark is 98 which isn’t a problem, he’s only run over 5F 5 times winning once in a 17 runner h’cap at Doncaster so provided they go quick enough he could run well though we have to be careful of Paul Midgely who has the top weight Monsieur Joe.

Analysis – Another we’ve been doing of late and once again he’s been running well without rewarding us, this is a weak race and provided he can get going a little earlier than last time when he stayed on too late in the day to get involved then he again should run his race. Another that maybe needs things to go his way to win but at 14-1 too big a price to ignore.

Analysis – Last win came off 75 the last time he ran in class 5 company. Today off 73 back into that winning grade he must run a big race. He’s a 5 times winner 4 in h’caps off 69-75-76-75 so as you can see todays mark of 73 reduced from 81 over his last 6 runs all in higher grade does make him look like a crackig bet at 10-1.

Analysis – Ran well last time out for us at Carlisle when staying on all too late to be a very close 3rd. He is what he is nowadays and maybe needs things to go his way to win but this is a weaker race so he deserves another chance!!
