Analysis – I originally had Ticks The Boxes here but at only 15-2 wanted 10’s minimum and drawn in stall 13 of 13 that doesn’t look good enough value to me. Sometimes that works against me as it did on Saturday with Speculative Bid but it goes in my favour a lot more than it goes against. The one I have gone with was my 2nd choice which I had at 12-1 so 25-1 was in my opinion excellent ew value.He’s a CD winner with 3 AW wins and 7 places from 24 runs that last win came in January 2017 when he made all from stall 5 today he has stall 1. His 3 other wins have come at Redcar on turf here over 7F and Wolverhampton over 5F. His 2 wins here have both come from making all the running so will be keen to see what tactics they adopt. His Southwell form reads 1-4-5-1-3-6 with G.Malune taking 7lb off he runs off just 44 here.

Analysis – I really liked the look of Zaeem here but stall 14 of 14 does put me off slightly, he was exactly the price I was looking for. He’s a CD winner in his 3 AW wins back in Jan 2016 off 80 by 5L. He got put up to 90 for his next run when he ran 6th to Boots And Spurs. In 2017 he’s only had 5 runs but down 10lbs and dropped from Class 3 to class 5 and with Jane Elliot taking 5lbs off his back if she can over come the poor draw then he should run a big race.

Analysis – The winner of 6/67 in total but 5/25 on AW with 1 win at Kempton and 4 at Southwell the last 3 all over 1m and 3 consecutive races in Dec 2016-Feb 2017 off marks of 48-58-64. Today he’s off 66 having been up to 73 however he does have Ger O’Neill taking 7lbs off and his trainer is 2/8 in last 14 days. I had him as a 16-1 chance so to see 40-1 I think is way over priced, he has stall 2 which is a good draw but this Class 5 might just be a bit tough for him but at 40-1 he’s worth an ew.

Analysis – When I priced this race up I had Borough Boy as the 4-1fav so I was bit surprised to see 7-1 available. This is a class 6 0-60 5f h’cap where the selection is a CD winner and an 8 times career winner with 7/53 on AW surfaces. He’s won here 3 times with 2 over 6 and just one over 5F, that was his last win off 61 today he runs off 58, I would like to see them let him go off fast from the stalls as thats when he runs his best races. He has stall 3 which isn’t great as winners tend to run middle to stands side over this 5F track. Imperial legend is due a win and with RR back on board today could be that day but stall 13 not ideal.
