Analysis – Lightly-raced seven-year old who is still unexposed in handicaps on just his fourth start in this sphere. He was well held in a class 2 when last seen in April from this mark of 134 but that came on good ground and he’s best seen when there’s plenty of give in the surface so the forecasted going is a positive. He has a good record here having won 50% of his races (4/8) and goes well when fresh so a 207-day absence won’t be an issue, should be competitive.

Analysis – Was tailed off on return to action in the Grade 3 Silver Trophy at Chepstow when the extended 2m3f may have stretched him first time out so a drop back in trip looks a good move. He’s only won a maiden so far from thirteen starts but some of his efforts in defeat have been good runs, one of which came at Cheltenham last November when fourth and wasn’t disgraced in the Betfair Hurdle when seventh behind Kalashnikov. On those bits of form if putting reappearance behind him he should run well now dropped into class 3 company off top-weight with ground fine.
