Analysis - Returned to the track with a second in a Grade 2 over in Down Royal behind the talented Real Steel and the form of his novice campaign over fences last year is decent. He ran a couple of nice races at the beginning of the year before winning at Wincanton then going on to win a Grade 2 at Ayr in the spring (over this extended 2m4f). He made mistakes at times last season in the jumping department but that return at the start of last month was much better and at one stage looked like he might win before blowing up (Paul Nicholls runners were needing the run at the time) so he should have come on a bundle for that. He’s off a workable mark on handicap debut as I think he has a touch of class, the ground and trip are fine and this yard have won this contest five times in the past ten years.

Analysis - Nicky Henderson’s second-string based on prices but this mare now steps up to 2m4f for the first time on the back of a staying-on second at Ascot behind one that was given a very soft lead. The form of that took a boost with the third horse, Oakley, beaten a neck here on Friday. She’s up 2lb but is still unexposed on just her second start in a handicap and should appreciate the step up in trip being a daughter of Getaway. Sam Waley-Cohen takes the ride and negates 3lb and I think she’s capable of going close off this mark with the yard in good form.
