Analysis – This five-year old hasn’t won since swooping late to gain a Group 1 success in the Queen Anne at the royal meeting last year but he’s facing calmer waters than he has been for some time here. His reappearance run behind Mustashry at Newbury was a good one in the Lockinge and if able to perform to that level again, then he’d be a serious player. He does come with risks though as portrayed when refusing to race and slow away since but he’s the top-rated in the field and with ground not a bother he might just be worth that risk. There seems like there’s pace on offer which would suit even further, so let’s just hope he gets away on terms.

Analysis – This filly was pitched into listed company on just her second start and ran a respectable race to finish fifth of the eight runners, over 1m2f, and the form of that has worked out very well with a Group 1 & 2 winner coming out of that contest. She thrashed a small field on her only go at this 1m4f (at odds of 1/10) so that form needs to be taken with a pinch of salt but her progress continued on handicap debut when third in a blanket finish at Newbury. The assessor has left her on the same mark and back down in trip on this softer surface should play to this daughter of Sea The Stars strengths.
