Analysis – Ran a very crediatble 3rd in the Thirsk Hunt Cup beaten less than 1L by Finn Class who ran 3rd the other day when stepping up in trip. Mulli has won over 1m on AW at Dundalk but yet to win on turf but is once again highly tried as he was when having his first run for Roger Fell in a 10F Class 3 at Ripon behind UAE Prince. He didn’t run too well last time but Newcastles 1m straight track is one that you love or hate and he clearly didn’t appreciate it this 10F trip on a turning track on turf is as far away from last time as you can get.

Analysis – He’s better known nowadays for running over 5 or 6 furlongs but if you dig deeper into his form he’s a 3 time 7F winner including twice on turf and twice in h’caps. His first 3 career wins all came at 7F at Newbury(maiden) Goodwood(h’cap off 83) Kempton (AW h’cap off 90) his last was a 6F at Kempton. He’s had 14 runs at 5-6 since his last 7F run which was at Ascot when 22/26 in Class 2 off 96 now class 3 0-90 off 84 he looks really well treated and if able to get to the lead from stall 2 could well take some pegging back provided he doesn’t over race in front.

Analysis – She ran in this race last year when pulled up at 16-1 off 86 today she’s off just 72. That was her only try at this trip but last time out again here at NA over 2m2 she ran on late from quite a way back, this isn’t a very competitve race and I think(hope) she can run better here today now she’s had more experience and a full stone lower. She is yet to place in 13 runs inc 2 AW flat runs but there has been glimmers of hope with her. She had first time hood that day and it might be she resented that as the twice subsequently she’s run in it they also been poor runs.

Analysis – Now a 10yo he won for us last Nov at Wolverhampton over 6F at 20-1 when given a lovely ride by G.Baker off a mark of 60. He’s a 9 times winner from his 94 career starts off marks of 75-78-72-71-61-65-68-65-60 5 of those wins are on turf on good x2 good/soft x2 and soft. Hopefully today going stays as forecast at good as he has shown in 2 of his last 3 runs that anything faster just doesn’t suit him yet over CD 2 runs ago on good/soft he ran 5th of 12 and is now 6lb lower than that run. His recent form does still suggest that the old boy has another winner in him if conditions suit.
