Tipsters Review - November 23, 2018

Today’s Horse Racing Tips

Todays Racing Tip – SHANROE SANTOS

Time & Track – 2.40 Fontwell (18/11)
Best Odds – 9/2 @ Bet365

Stake – 1pt win

Analysis – Has ran some good races in defeat over trips similar to this today including when 2nd in the Sussex National at Plumpton last January in heavy ground over 3m4f. He bolted up in this grade at Carlisle after that before unseating his rider two out when holding every chance at Sandown (both over 3m). He returned with a very encouraging fourth at Carlisle in a race where two subsequent winners have come out of it and if coming out for that reappearance, which is likely, he should hold every chance now stepping back up in trip.

Result – Won +3.83

Todays Racing Tip – WESTERN RYDER

Time & Track – 3.00 Cheltenham (18/11)
Best Odds – 7/1 @ Bet365

Stake – 1pt win

Analysis – His bumper & novice form gives him a great chance in this having finished fifth beaten three-lengths behind the ill-fated Fayonagh in the 2017 Champion Bumper he then went even closer in Aintree’s equivalent the following month behind Lalor. After an unseat on hurdling debut this six-year old then won his next two including here last December (beating Lalor and Summerville Boy) and he ended the campaign with two great runs in the spring festivals (sixth in the Supreme followed by fifth in the Mersey behind Black Op). He returns to action for handicap debut off a mark of 145 which is manageable, he goes well fresh, versatile ground-wise and has been laid out for this race. Obviously a very open race but should be staying on at the finish and can go well.

Todays Racing Tip – DEFI DU SEUIL

Time & Track – 1.50 Cheltenham (18/11)
Best Odds – 5/1 @ Unibet

Stake – 1pt win

Analysis – I know this horse lost its way on his last two outings but Philip Hobbs’ yard were right out of form back then but they are firing in the winners now and on his best form would beat these. He has a perfect 4/4 record at this track including when thrashing his Triumph Hurdle field by five-lengths last year and he followed that up with another Grade 1 win this time at Aintree. He’s reportedly been schooling very well at home and although coming here with risks attached if he shows his 2016/17 form on first start since February he looks overpriced in my opinion.

Result – Lost
