Analysis – Won by six-lengths on penultimate start which was over timber and has been raised 6lb for that but is still on a mark which is 7lb below his highest winning perch. He was underwhelming on the level last time out but back hurdling today on quick ground can see this gelding in a better light. Lesser efforts on soft/heavy ground in higher grades can also be forgiven over the past year and before those he was beaten a head over C&D on today’s ground and that was off a mark of 114, so if replicating that effort along with the win at Fontwell in August, a mark of 108 looks dangerous.

Analysis – This gelding was a good fifth the last day in the Ayr Silver Cup from an unfavourable draw and is better off at the weights this time around with the three horses placed in front of him. He’d previously won a seven-furlong handicap in this grade on soft ground and from a 4lb higher mark looks overpriced. A strong pace will help this three-year old as he stays further and with course form in the bag with conditions wellin favour he should run a nice race.
