Analysis - This five-year old has gone off a double-figured price on all five starts under rules and again is a big price here on second start in a handicap. He made a very pleasing debut in this sphere at Catterick (extended 3m1f) at the end of December when in front approaching the second last before his stamina told and Sue Smith (currently operating at a 33% strike-rate in the past fortnight) has decided to drop him back massively in trip to the minimum 2m. He’d previously been caught close home at Hexham over 2m4f and hopefully with a positive ride by Danny Cook he’ll have each-way claims.

Analysis - Colin Tizzard’s twelve-year old is on mark of 118 these days but was once rated as high as 153 back in the day and his recent efforts have hinted that he’s still capable of a win, despite it being four-and-a-half years since his last. He was a staying on third over the extended 2m at Newbury last time and the two ahead of him have both won since, he’s been dropped a couple of pounds and a repeat effort of his penultimate outing when a close second at Lingfield in this grade would see him go close if he sees out this longer trip.
