Analysis – Yet to get his head in front but has only has the four starts under rules along with a close second on his sole point outing. He opened his handicap campaign with a third at Market Rasen, a race that has produced a few subsequent winners and he stepped up on that with a good fifth over track and trip at the beginning of the month. This looks a slightly weaker race and his handler Alan King has had five winners from his last seven runners and he’ll be hoping to add to that with this son of Mahler. I must mention Agincourt Reef who I tipped the other day (was a N/R) who could run into a place but I think is vulnerable for win purposes here.

Analysis – This lightly-raced eight-year old has taken well to fences so far this season with form figures of 2-3-1-3. He wasn’t beaten far on first two outings before finally getting his head in front at Leicester by a comfortable five-lengths. He ran well at Taunton behind a well-handicapped rival recently and if able to progress further (has improved each outing) from a pound lower then he could well be the answer here on a track that I think will suit and Aidan Coleman is a good booking (has form of 3-2-1-1 on this gelding in novice/maiden hurdles.
