Analysis – A class 4 0-120 2m4 h’cap chase on heavy ground with 16 fences to jump. The selection we did at Exeter 2 runs ago when pulling up over 3m having travelled well for firt 2/3rd of the race before weakening quite quickly. Last time over 2m4 at Bangor was still moving well when falling at the 8th fence. He’s a 7 times winner 4 hurdles 3 chases and although most of his wins have come on good ground he does have a win on soft and 2 2nds on heavy. His last winning mark was 126 in Nov 2015 at Ludlow today he runs off 118 with a very good 5lb claimer riding.He ran at Cheltenham Festival in 2016 off his career highest mark of 137 now 19lb lower in just 18 months the 9yo has a little to prove but Kerry Lee is a master trainer of chasers and there has been some small support for him now 8-1.

Analysis – Had Just Joelliot here as he ran 3rd over 2f further for us last time but all 8-1 went then 6-1 and 5-1 so only 9-2 by time got round to posting thats way too short for me so I’ve gone against him with a potential improver for first time chasing for an in form stable who on his hurdles form would have a great chance if fit enough after nearly 2 years off. His best run came when 2nd on heavy ground beaten just 3/4L plus his last run at Ascot was in class 3 h’cap off 115 here today of 108. His run over 3m behind Singlefarmpayment at Southwell beaten 15L doesn’t look so bad now either after he’s gone on to finish 2nd at Cheltenham Festival as the 5-1fav and now rated 146. If he’s fit and ready to go first time up in heavy ground over 3m then he could be too well treated for these though Just Joelliott is clearly the biggest danger.

Analysis – Class 0-120 3m h’cap hurdle on heavy ground this will take some getting. The 7yo mare is a 3m1f class 3 in soft ground winner under todays jockey Zak Baker though off 108 that day now off 120. His last win came over that same CD at Plumpton on good/soft off 121 again with Zak Baker riding. She has won 5 times in total including a NH flat race at Ffos Las on heavy ground, her 5 wins have all been with Zak riding on heavy-soft-soft-soft-good/soft over 2m-2m1-3m-3m1-3m1 last 3 h’cap hurdles off 99-108-121 only slight negative here is first time up after a break she’s 8-0-3-3 winning 2nd time-3rd time-2nd time up each season so she might be one to be one next time but at current odds of 33-1 worth taking a chance conditions will suit her far better than others so maywell hit the frame(2nd probably).

Analysis – A class 4 0-85 1m4 h’cap where one I like is ridden by Josephine Gordon still looking for winner no.100 for 2017 but did do a miracle job is staying on board a horse in the 1.10 Lingfield yesterday.The selection is drawn in stall 14 which is a slight concern but he is also a hold up horse so not a total disaster. There are now 2 NRs so he’ll be in 12 effectively now. He’s winner 0f 5/31 career with 4/21 on the AW with 4 wins at Lingfield over 1m4 3 on AW one on turf the other coming again over 1m4 at Wolverhampton off marks of 55-60-63-66 on AW and 60 on turf. He runs here off 71 as he;s 4lb wrong in the h’cap but trainer Ian Williams doesn’t go a claimer to ofset that instead puts up JG. He didn’t run too well just 2 days ago in an apprentice race but that was over 2m a distance that clearly is beyond him, now back to 1m4 a repeat of his Epsom 3rd betan just 2L would see him goes very close here.
