Analysis - This eight-year old hasn’t tasted success since the spring of 2017 when landing a Grade 1 novice chase at Aintree, though has ran in some competitive races since then off difficult marks. He was beaten three-lengths in this race last year behind the re-opposing Mr Medic but is better off at the weights this time off a 2lb lower mark and it could be that this race is a target for this horse as he prepared for it last year with a run in the Grade 2 Old Roan to blow away the cobwebs and he done so again this time around, when running respectable races. He was a good fifth in the Ultima back in March and if showing his best form here he’s got to have a chance with Sam Twiston-Davies in the saddle.
