Analysis – A seven-race maiden but has gone close on more than one occasion including on only outing over a similar trip to this when beaten a head in a Wolverhampton maiden last August. He went close before a winter break and returned at the start of this month with a closing second (both over 7f) having been well-backed, off this mark of 84. The step up in trip will suit and from the same mark on second outing after a gelding operation he may well be ready to open his account.

Analysis – Won a novice event over 7f here on debut in a race in which has worked out well and was only beaten half-a-length on second start when a short-price at Redcar (soft ground probably against him that day). He returned from a 168-day break with victory on first attempt over a mile and won with something to spare under Frankie Dettori who is on board again (only ride on the card) and I expect this son of Kingman to be a serious player for John Gosden who won this listed contest last year.

Analysis – This four-year old has only the one career win to date but that came over C&D last year from a 6lb lower mark and is still more than capable off this mark of 91 to be winning in my opinion. He returned with a decent seventh in the Spring Cup at Newbury when probably needing the run and with that under his belt he may well be able to reverse the form with fourth-placed Greenside (eight-year old) on better terms being less-exposed. The better ground will also suit and Jason Watson keeps the ride for a trainer who has been in good form recently having had two winners from his last five runners.
