Todays Racing Tip – LUSTROUS LIGHT
Time & Track – 5.35 ROYAL ASCOT (FRI)
Best Odds – 33/1 6 places Skybet

Analysis – Trained in Ireland by GM Lyons until 11th May this year when moved to R.Becketts yard. Made his debut for the yard just 6days later at York when a slightly disappointing 13th of 20 at 25-1. That was the softest ground he has encoutered yet and the worst performance in an 8 race career although both wins in Ireland came on good/yielding. He does however have a very good debut run on good/firm when beaten only 1/2L so for me the ground won’t be an issue and neither will be stepping back up in trip to 1m4. He ran at last years Royal meeting when 7th in the King Edward VII Stakes, I think he could run better than his odds would suggest.

Todays Racing Tip – ROYAL DUCHESS
Time & Track – 9.15 AYR (FRI)
Best Odds – 14/1

Analysis – One we on last time out when the market told us everything we needed to know about her chances drfiting from 6-1 to 14-1 then given a less than encouraging ride by Dougie Costello running on very late in the piece when the front 3 had already flown. Replaced by Joe Doyle tonight and a slight drop in grade from 0-75 to 0-70 here she does have a great chance provided teh ground isn’t too firm.

Todays Racing Tip – THE FIRM
Time & Track – 5.50 NEWMARKET (FRI)
Best Odds – 25/1

Analysis – I really don’t know what to make of it with this one. He was a NR a couple of weeks ago when well supported then 2 days ago at Chelmsford he was given a very strange ride by J.Quinn, he pulled very hard for teh first half mile then when they turned in he eased him right off and allowed to coast home as if something was wrong with him but yet he’s out 2 days later in an apprentice race ridden by the Derby non jockey Gina Mangen. At the odds he’s worth risking again as this 1mile straight track might suit him better than the stop start gallop on the AW.

Todays Racing Tip – MOLLY JONES
Time & Track – 7.15 BATH (FRI)
Best Odds – 20/1

Analysis – 7 runner races aren’t my fav type of races but at the odds I think she’s worth risking as 4 of her 5 career wins have come here at Bath ALL on firm going and 3 over the 5F course the other over 5.5f.She prefers the 5F but has won over CD so at 20-1 think its worth taking a chance she can find her form with conditions very much in her favour.

Todays Racing Tip – BOOM THE GROOM & G FORCE
Time & Track – 5.00 ROYAL ASCOT (SAT)
Best Odds – 33/1 & 33/1

Analysis – I had a short list of 3 for the race the other being last years winner Outback Traveller but at only 8-1 I decided taht was too short for a race like this. Although 33-1 is widely available at the moment most bookies are only 4 places but some will be 6 on the day so you may want to wait. Boom The Groom won at Glorious Goodwood for us last summer after running well at Epsom in the Dash and again here in this race, he’s followed the same path this time around and again ran well at Epsom to be 6th beaten only just over 1L by Caspian Prince. He is predominantly known for being a 5F horse but he does see out 6F concern is stall 15 but as a hold up horses his jockey will have choice which side he goes. The other one I like is a former Group 1 winner of Haydock Sprint Cup back in 2014. G Force ran well when 4th to Brando is last years Ayr Gold Cup off 102 now 2lb lower has the ability to run a big race. Stall 29 looked fantastic when I sorted this race out but Thursdays result temper my enthusiam as I believe they over watered stands side to even it out and it ended up favouring far side(low) if that bias continues on Friday we could be in trouble.
