Analysis - This mare has a good record at this track having won three times as well as a couple of close seconds. She’s been raised only a pound for head defeat here last month and the drop back in trip shouldn’t be a problem with a C&D victory already on her CV. That recent outing was a return to form after three average efforts after a break and prior to that break she’d gained a hat-trick of wins with the last of those coming from a 3lb lower mark, so if able to reproduce that form along with her recent outing then she should play a leading role.

Analysis - Was beaten narrowly by the re-opposing pair of Desert Ace and Bosham over C&D last time out and you have to say with a clearer run that day he may well have won. He’s on the same mark again here, which is still 6lb lower than when landing last year’s renewal quite comfortably and from a nice draw with a clear journey this six-year old can land his third track and trip win with conditions to suit.

Analysis - Needs to put a recent poor run on the all-weather behind him but he’s best on turf and has shown that here on more than one occasion with strong course figures of 1-1-1-1-6-5-2. She’s versatile ground wise and Jason Watson gets to claim is 5lb again (has been on board the past three outings). All six career wins to date have come over this mile trip and she’s now been eased into class 5 company where she’s 2/4 so with all things considered in regards course/class/ground/trip this four-year old looks slightly overpriced and can run a nice race from the front.
