Analysis – Has performed pretty consistently in seven starts to date despite only winning the once. That victory came at Epsom over this seven-furlong trip and both nursery handicap outings have been solid efforts. The first of those was when ahead of the re-opposing Forseti and there’s only a 2lb swing in the weights this time round fro over two-lengths. Most recent outing was probably an improvement too when second on a softer surface with the winner, Pogo, subsequently finishing fourth in this week’s Group 3 Acomb Stakes at York. Any rain wouldn’t be a problem and looks to hold solid claims from the same mark as that close second recently.

Analysis – Beat Battaash in the King’s Stand Stakes at the royal meeting over this five-furlong trip before coming unstuck over a furlong further at Newmarket last month. There looks as though there’s plenty of pace on offer in this field which will only play into the four-year olds hands as he stays further than this and he showed he has pace when winning at Ascot. There is rain forecast so if that gets into the ground that will enhance his chances even more and I think he’s worth taken the favourite on with at the prices with the all important course form as well having won a Grade 2 as a two-year old. William Buick will be hoping to make it a sixth win on this colt.
