Tipsters Review - August 27, 2019

Today’s Horse Racing Tips

Todays Racing Tip – EMINENCE
Time & Track – 2.25 York (24/08)
Best Odds – 6/1 @ William Hill

Stake – 1pt win

Analysis – Won on handicap debut first time out this year when winning at Leopardstown and his two other runs in that company since have been very respectable. Firstly he was third, beaten two-lengths, in the King George V Stakes at the royal meeting which looks decent form now and then last time out this colt was seen finishing three-lengths behind Sir Ron Priestley at Glorious Goodwood when not having the best passage that day though stayed on well enough through the line over 1m4f. He’s up a pound but now takes a further step up in trip which should suit this son of Sea The Stars, I think he could go close for this top yard.

Todays Racing Tip – RAHEEN HOUSE
Time & Track – 3.40 York (24/08)
Best Odds – 15/2 @ William Hill

Stake – 1pt win

Analysis – Remarkably this will be his first run in a handicap on his 18th career start and off a mark of 111 could well be capable of defying that. He’s a three times winner (1m/1m5f/1m6f) which has included a listed win at Ascot over this journey as well as a Group 3 success at Newmarket, all when trained by Brian Meehan. The five-year old changed yards in the spring when joining William Haggas and this race looks as though it’s been the plan ever since with both outings so far coming over this C&D. He was second in a ‘Race To The Ebor’ listed contest before going down by a neck in the Group 3 Silver Cup in mid-July. He arrives here fresh and James Doyle is back in the saddle. It’ll be tough to find the winner of this but I think he can run a big race.

Todays Racing Tip – MANUELA DE VEGA
Time & Track – 3.50 Goodwood (24/08)
Best Odds – 10/3 @ Bet365

Stake – 1pt win

Analysis – This filly won her first two starts at the back end of last campaign and though she hasn’t won since, she hasn’t been disgraced in some good races. Second in a listed race on return to action, the three-year old was a sound fourth in the Epsom Oaks behind Anapurna (beaten just over two-lengths) before finding the Irish Oaks a bit too tasty when just worse than midfield. She did run a better race over C&D in a Group 2 the last day though (first go at 1m6f) and this looks an easier race. She’ll handle the ground and could be too good for this small field.
