Analysis – This mare has returned from an absence of almost a year with a couple of sound efforts in defeat, firstly at Warwick when third over this 2m trip behind a subsequent winner and most recently when possibly not seeing out a longer trip when fourth behind an improver. She was hampered and unseated at an early stage over C&D in between those runs and now with the ground drying this six-year old might be ready to gain a first success over hurdles.

Analysis – Losing run goes back to 2016 but has been hinting that his next win isn’t far away based on his four runs this season. He was beaten a neck back in November from 2lb lower over a shorter trip here and has since gone close from higher marks. He just didn’t see out the 3m2f at Kelso last time when leading at the second last so the drop back to 3m looks the right move and he’s 6lb better off with the winner that day.

Analysis – Won his first chase on his penultimate outing from a 7lb lower mark and has since finished a fair second against slightly stronger opponents the last day at Doncaster from this mark (winner was beaten close home next time). The trip suits and he enjoys the quicker ground, hopefully can get back to winning ways off top-weight with Matthew Fielding claiming a handy 7lb in this amateur’s contest.
