Analysis – A Class 6 0-65 hcap over 1mile with 14 runners, the selection is drawn in stall 14 which is a slight negative but I like him that much here I’m still napping him. He’s 0/13 so far with 1 2nd place and 4 3rds, of those 13 runs he’s had 6 in h’caps starting in class 4 off 76. He moved stables in March 2017 then had a turf run over 1m2 at Doncaster in April for his new stable that was his worst run to date. Then after 6 months off just 29 days ago he ran at Kempton in a 1mile C5 maiden he finished 5th beaten 11L but ran very wide throughout and as his mark is 68 and the winners was 80 it wasn’t a bad run. the runner up is rated 76 but as a 3yo the selection had to give him 12lbs so did race against him on 20lb worse terms than if it was a hcap. He has had 5 runs at this course before but only 3 over this CD finishing 3-5-10 but all in better company of higher marks. John Fahy rode him last time at Kempton and keeps the ride here, everything bar the draw points to a big run.

Analysis – Class 4 0-80 1mile h’cap where I’ve been doing Tadaany but even at 66-1 with PP I still couldn’t bring myself to do him after his last run, might live to regret that decision, we’ll see. The selection Dubai Secret is a 4 times turf winner but 0/1 on the AW that run came at Kempton over 1mile in a class 4 0-85 off 86 he was beaten 5L into 11th of 12 now of just 77 the 4yo has been given a chance and 40-1 just seems way too big.His 4th to Gurkha Friend at Ripon in class 3 would give him a major chance herebeaten just 4L into 6th that day. His 4 wins came for R.Hannon his maiden then 3 h’caps off 76-79-83 at Windsor-Leicester-Newbury on good/firm or good.In 3 of his last 4 runs he’s run on good/soft and last time when beaten 48L he ran over 10F a trip too far for him now back to 1m he has a decent ew shout.

Analysis – A Class 5 0-75 over 7F where the selection is the 8yo no.8 coming from stall 8 Pretty Bubbles.She is an 11 times winner 3 on turf and 8 /38 on the AW, her last 8 runs have all been on her unfavourable turf surface so now reverting to the AW off a mark 13lb lower than when she last ran on it in March 2017. She won 3 times in 2016 including 1 here off marks of 74-78-82 so now off just 72 she’s been given a very realistic chance.

Analysis – I napped him last time out in a 2m5 h’cap hurdle at Kelso he fell at the 3rd hurdle putting his jockey Derek Fox in hospital, the riderless horse went on to pass the post in front rallying gamely up the run in and it’s interesting to see Derek Fox again takes the ride. 2m3 in heavy ground with a stiff up hill finish will take some getting but he has run his best race on heavy ground at Taunton in a novice hurdle so if it came to a battling finish up the hill I’d be confident he’ll out stay them.
