Analysis - Was beaten comfortably on handicap debut on his penultimate start but can possibly be forgiven on account of the soft ground. He bolted up last time out over C&D in a three runner Novice hurdle and also won a bumper here on debut (2/2 at this course). He’s still very unexposed over this trip and in handicap company and with trainer Anthony Honeyball boasting a 30% strike-rate at this track, he could well be up to winning this.

Analysis - Despite not winning since 2015, this ten-year old has slipped to a mark 18lb below his last winning one and despite being pulled up on return (heavy ground), posted a better effort over a marathon trip the last day back on a sounder surface. His last win came from a mark of 115 and now running off only 97 looks dangerous if putting his best foot forward. He went down by just over two-lengths over hurdles on only previous run here (off a mark of 125) and the better ground along with being eased in grade could see this gelding return to the winners enclosure.

Analysis - Reappeared last month with a decent fourth over a slightly shorter trip when staying on and has been eased a pound in the handicap. He was progressive last year winning three times and now only 3lb above his last winning mark he could still be well treated. He ticks a lot of boxes in regards the ground/trip/class and the booking of Daryl Jacob looks significant. With that recent run under his belt he could well come on for it and hopefully run a sound race.
