Today's Horse Racing Tips

Todays Racing Tip - WHATSWRONGWITHYOU
Time & Track - 1.05 Chepstow (27/12)
Best Odds - 7/2 @ Bet365

Stake - 1pt win

Analysis - This eight-year old was in the process of running a big race the last day at Newbury in a slightly hotter race to this when slipping on landing at the third last whilst still in the joint lead. He’s off the same mark here and his form on soft/heavy ground reads well with four wins and a close second, so the conditions will be fine and hopefully he can improve a bit more on this second start after a wind op. Nicky Henderson sends just this one runner to Wales and although Venetia Williams (won this race five times in the past seven years) has a short-priced fav, I think he’s worth taking on now up another 11lb.

Todays Racing Tip - CULTURE DE SIVOLA
Time & Track - 1.55 Kempton (27/12)
Best Odds - 7/2 @ Bet365

Stake - 1pt win

Analysis - This seven-year old mare has her fair share of weight to carry but did win this race last race, beating the re-opposing Molly Childers (who should go well again), off a 5lb lower mark but has the assistance of 5lb-claimer Chester Williams who negates that. She’s ran well twice this season, firstly when third in a tougher handicap than this before finishing second in a listed hurdle behind Papagana when sent off favourite. She’s been a consistent mare over the past couple of years, minus being pulled-up once, and I think she’s the one to beat here providing there’s no handicap blot in the field.

Todays Racing Tip - THE TWO AMIGOS
Time & Track - 2.50 Chepstow (27/12)
Best Odds - 14/1 @ Coral (5 places)

Stake - 0.5pt ew

Analysis - No surprise that this race is going to take some getting in the conditions, as it often does. Elegant Escape is the one to beat in my opinion but at a bigger price I like the look of this out-and-out stayer. Last season this horse won over 3m2f/3m4f/3m6f with two of those coming in desperate conditions and he’s on the same mark as the last day when beaten just under five-lengths in third in the Southern National. He was carrying a lot of weight that day but has a nice weight here against stronger opposition which could suit the seven-year old. He was going well in second place in the Grand National Trial at Haydock back in February before falling and I think at an each-way price this six-time point & three-time chase winner could run a big race in his ideal conditions. Truckers Lodge would be my alternative each-way choice, especially if his jumping has improved.
