Analysis – Has performed well so far this season with a recent listed third at Sandown his stand out performance. He was only beaten a half-length that day over 1m2f and he’d also won a decent class 2 handicap at Redcar a few starts prior. The drop back to a mile on this softer surface should suit and Silvestre De Sousa is back in the saddle (twice a winner on this gelding), so with first-time cheekpieces I think he can go well.

Analysis – Has a patch profile so far over the jumps since starting his career in this sphere well when with John Ferguson back in 2015 (won a maiden and novice hurdle) before going very close in a class 2 handicap over 2m4f. Had only the one win for David Pipe, again in a class 2 handicap over a similar trip that he faces today and has since joined Anthony Honeyball for which his first outing was very promising when beaten by a length at Worcester fortnight ago over this 2m7f trip. Rex Dingle claims his 10lb again here and if coming on for the reappearance then he should be right there at the finish with this softer ground to suit.
