Analysis – This four-year old is progressing nicely over hurdles having made the switch from the flat where he gained three wins (1m4f-2m). He scored on second start in this sphere at Market Rasen before running a sound third in the Grade 2 Adonis at Kempton at the end of February. This gelding took a further step forward when sixth in the Fred Winter at the festival when only headed approaching the last and he was only beaten seven-lengths in that and I think there’s still more to come from him off this mark, he’ll appreciate the drying ground and comes from a yard who have a 30% strike-rate in the past fortnight.

Analysis – Has won twice over fences and finished second the same amount of times in six outings in this sphere. He won a decent handicap over C&D in November before a break and the form of that has been franked on numerous occasions, including by the likes of Cyrname and San Benedeto. His return can be forgiven at Cheltenham in the Grand Annual with his fitness probably being found out and the ground was on the softer side, he’ll relish this quicker ground and from only 4lb higher than for that win here he looks to hold a strong hand in this small field contest with conditions in favour.
