Todays Racing Tip – NICKLAUS
Time & Track – 3.50 Salisbury (26/06)
Best Odds – 4/1 @ Betfair
Stake – 1pt win
Analysis – Form over a mile has been good apart from one flop at York, this four-year old ended last campaign with a half-a-length success at Yarmouth and after a midfield finish on reappearance (which would have been needed) he finished a decent third in a slightly better race than this at Chelmsford. He’s on the same mark for this and the booking of Ryan Moore (27% strike-rate for William Haggas) would suggest connections are quietly confident on their geldings chances. His only visit to this track resulted in a comfortable win last July so a big run can be expected.

Todays Racing Tip – KIEFER
Time & Track – 4.20 Salisbury (26/06)
Best Odds – 4/1 @ Betfair
Stake – 1pt win
Analysis – Disappointed on first run this season (second career start) when well held in a Newbury maiden but that would have blown away the cobwebs and this colt ran a good second over 1m3f at this track behind Eagles By Day, who has since gone on to finish a three-length third behind Japan in the Group 2 King Edward VII. He made a winning handicap debut off a 6lb lower mark in a class 4 at Newbury, by just under a length but the manner in which he won was impressive, under a hands and heels ride so his new mark may still be manageable despite up a grade. Eve Johnson Houghton won this race two years back and may add to that with this son of Pour Moi.

Todays Racing Tip – VIADERA
Time & Track – 4.30 Carlisle (26/06)
Best Odds – 3/1 @ Sky Bet
Stake – 1pt win
Analysis – Won on debut and has been highly tried since. She was beaten just under a length in a Group 3 behind Marie’s Diamond which was her best effort before winning a class 2 handicap a month ago, conceding plenty of weight all round. She’s into listed company for the first time and if showing any of those two pieces of form this Irish-raider might be tough to beat with her the best rated horse in the field. Her two efforts over this 7f trip haven’t been great but she has excuses (one was a Group 2 and the other a Group 3 on soft ground), the quicker ground will suit and she’s the one for me here.
