Todays Racing Tip – THE TRADER
Time & Track – 2.00 Epsom (01/06)
Best Odds – 5/1 @ Sky Bet
Stake – 1pt win
Analysis – Arrives here in good form after two solid efforts in defeat to begin his three-year old campaign and step up to 1m2f for the first time. The first of those came on the polytrack at Chelmsford when beaten half-a-length and the winner has gone in again on Thursday evening. He was up 3lb for that and ran an equally good race when fifth in the London Gold Cup at Newbury a fortnight ago and from the same mark must hold strong credentials to open his handicap account under Silvestre De Sousa, the ground suits and if handling this different track I think he’s got a great chance.

Todays Racing Tip – ROCHESTER HOUSE
Time & Track – 3.25 Musselburgh (01/06)
Best Odds – 13/2 @ Betfair
Stake – 1pt win
Analysis – One win from four starts so far which came in a Pontefract novice in early April and this colt ran well on handicap debut the last day when third at York (winner could frank the form 20 minutes before this race). The handicapper has raised him 2lb for that but he’s still ever so unexposed in this company, the softer ground may not be ideal but he went well on the tapeta on debut and this so of Galileo looks slightly overpriced in my opinion.

Todays Racing Tip – RED STARLIGHT
Time & Track – 4.00 Musselburgh (01/06)
Best Odds – 10/3 @ Bet365
Stake – 1pt win
Analysis – I’m giving this filly one last chance having tipped her the last twice. She ran well for fourth in the Spring Cup at Newbury after going close behind the smart Sharja Bridge prior to that and her recent third in an Ascot handicap was probably her best yet (beaten one-and-a-half lengths) when carrying plenty of weight. Richard Hannon has only ever sent three horses up to Musselburgh which included the winner of this race last year and there’s every chance he fancies her to run a big race with Danny Tudhope, who rides the course well, a significant jockey booking.
Result – lost
Todays Racing Tip – ANTHONY VAN DYCK
Time & Track – 4.30 Epsom (01/06)
Best Odds – 8/1 @ Bet365
Stake – 1pt win
Analysis – A Group 2 & 3 winner over 7f last season and was also beaten just over a length in a Group 1 at the Curragh just after that. Was no match for the impressive Too Darn Hot in the Group 1 Dewhurst at Newmarket but on return to action this season he won the Derby Trial at Lingfield on unsuitable ground by a couple of lengths. He’s entitled to come on for that run and the return to quicker ground will suit and the extra half-furlong shouldn’t be a problem with him being a son of Galileo. Seamie Heffernan is the jockey saddled up for this colt, one of seven in the field for the master Aidan O’Brien.
